Swisher's game was TREMENDOUS. I don't see how you could expect him to be a zero after that. His confidence is back up.

Posada has not been terrible at the plate. 3 for 10 with 3 RBIs. Could you stretch even more?

Melky is Melky. Relax. The bottom of the lineup has not been the black hole you've been making them out to be.

We've handed them this game basically. Terrible, now they have the momentum, their ace going. I can't believe they're going to make me sweat this out all damn week.

And if he threw the fastball instead and it got hit, people would've second guessed it too. The results sucked, the strategy wasn't necessarily suspect.

This blows big time. I do not want to be 2-2 and have to face Lee tomorrow.

If he threw the fastball and it got hit, you tip your hat to the guy. Wouldn't have said a thing. Joba let him back into the at bat, just the same way the Yankee hitters refused to put this game away tonight.

And now we face the prospect of Burnett and Pettitte going on 3 days rest the next 2 games.

That's what happened. He threw the fastball, and it got hit.

At 1-2 or 2-2, the batter has no idea what is coming. He's not guessing fastball all the way like he was at 3-2. Totally different and you know that.

And he should've been sitting fastball at 1-2, anyways. No one thought anything but a fastball was coming, that's why he threw it.
