For a Met fan the best case scenario is right now....

Yankees win tonight. No way do I want to see the Yankees win at home in front of their fans, and it will make Philly fans miserable at the same time. Sad but true.

After this season it's going to take alot from the Mets this offseason to even get me remotely interested in baseball come April.

Just end the season. Take us out of our misery

Totally agree. End this cow turd of a season ASAP. The yanks celebrating in front of slack jawed Philly onlookers would be a small solace. Wrap it up tonight!

If I was a Met fan, this is exactly how I'd want it to end.

Sign me up, but I could care less if the Yankees win in the Bronx.

Looking at Rollins Utley and Hamels stupid sad faces is pleasure enough

I dont care if they win it on Mars as long as the Phillies lose, the season isn't a complete disaster. Okay...it was a disaster

For me, the second one NY team is out, I'm right behind the other.

Dont get this Met fan obsession with the Yanks.

Start looking around at some of the obnoxious replies met fans have gotten by a select few obnoxious yankee fans. You'll start to get it.

Can't even win here. Of course those ****s are going to win at home. The Yanks winning on the road would be bearable. but seeing 55,000 Yankee fans happy...well there's nothing more sickening.

That's not exclusive to Met fans. I saw on a CNN poll about 70% of the country is pulling for the Phillies. I've already ran into a few Yankee fans who are "sure" it is their "destiny" to win at home, and that's why they lost yesterday. Not many other fan bases has that cocky attitude, and therefore it is gratifying to see them fall. You either love the Yankees or you hate them.

Granted, but the yankees obviously have a larger fan base. Therefore, for every Tucker, there are 5-10 "tuckers" on your side, a majority of them are bandwagoners who just enjoy making us miserable. Seeing jerks like that have some crow to eat is obviously going to be appealing for us.

It is a little easier for Yankee fans to let over the top Mets fans roll off their backs, you have won multiple world series where we have had 1 over the last 23 years....

If the tables were reversed and you had to put up with a bunch of crap from over the top Mets fans who won multiple titles and nearly every year had a playoff team you might develope a different outlook.....

Actually, it's 1 over the last 40 years...

My Mets loving brothers are quick to remind me, however,
that is one more than the Jets.
