    Game 5: 1969 World Series on MLB Network Now

    Just flipped around and caught this.

    Its thru 5 1/2 innings..Mets trail 3-0.

    Lindsey Nelson and Curt Gowdy broadcasting the game....
    Tony Kubek roving reporter.
    Real pros.

    PS: Its amazing how alike Jerry Koosman and Andy Pettitte are.

    Especially those sweeping breaking balls to left-handed hitters.



    A fun watch in a much simpler time.

    EDIT: Here comes the Shoe Polish play.

    I caught game 3 the other day, it was a much simpler time for sure......Amazing how the pitchers back then routinely went deep into the games with a 4 man rotation.....3 days rest was the norm back then....
