The official "Mariano Rivera should be the Jets QB" Thread

    1. He's got a great arm.
    2. He completes nearly 100% of his throws to the catcher.
    3. He throws a catchable ball.
    4. In swapping Mark for Mariano we lose nothing from a Hispanic standpoint.

    Make it happen, Tanny!!!!

I've wondered before how Mo would be as a QB. I bet Mariano could have been a quarterback if he had wanted to. Great arm, very solid mechanics allowing him to throw the same way every time, and is often considered the best athlete on his team. Probably a bit small to take hits repeatedly, but then again, maybe he could add bulk onto his 6'2 frame. Definitely an incredible athlete...

    forgot to add:

    5. Mental toughness.

this guy just doesn't get rattled.

then again, it's a little different facing off against NFL linebackers than against a jolly fat guy chewing sunflower seeds while wearing pajamas.

It must be the bye week for a mediocre 4-4 team for a thread like this to be started.

A little HGH, errr, I mean NFL conditioning programs, and he should be able to add 50 - 100 pounds.

Maybe he can be our backup NT?
