No, because Rex getting more involved with the offense doesn't mean he's actually controlling the offense.

Schottenheimer is looking to turn Sanchez into a Rivers/Brees style starter, but with a better arm than either.

He's failing because of the playcalling.

When did you begin agreeing with this?

History has shown that each and every QB is unique. Sanchez is nothing like Dilfer and he'll come into his own. WE ARE NOT THE RAVENS and we never will be; so stop making all these wack Baltimore comparisons. Just like we were not like the Pats under Mangini nor like the Bucs under Herm.

We ARE WHO WE THINK WE ARE!!

I dont see how asking a rookie to play it safe is turning him in to Dilfer. Fact is he should have been conservative all year, asking him to win the games for us was not the plan from the start.

Until the Jets fire Shotty, Sanches will be a below average QB.

rex will need to adapt to the players he has too. look at the patsies. anyone think brady was going to be a throwing machine? but when they added moss, look what happened. same thing with sanchez. sanchez's job is to move the chanis and put points on the board. doesn't matter how he does it and if he can air it out, great. they wouldn't have drafted sanchez if they didn't see a qb who had promise to do everything needed in the nfl game. i don't think the same was true of dilfer when he came up.

No, Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring.

This is silly. Sanchez will be a much better QB than Dilfer ever was.

Sanchez will be here long after Rex is a distant memory.

Why would he want to turn him into an ESPN analyst?

Rex will adapt. He has already stated on several occasions that he wants to use Sanchez's strengths.

Stupid thread, because being Trent Dilfer long-term is not good enough. Sure, he won a super bowl, but the goal isn't to make a below-average QB who needs the 2000 Ravens to win it all. We could've let Kellen Clemens do that.

Sanchez will be fine though, people just need to learn some ****ing patience. Asking him to be the savior in his rookie season was unrealistic given the history of rookie Quarterbacks.

Why do I have this funny feeling that Schroy48 is related to the Grinch?
