I like group C. The US can certainly make it to the next round.

I'm looking forward to Mexico vs France, USA vs England and Portugal vs Brazil in the first round.

hard to see the draw going better for the us, as we should qualify (if not win the group outright)...

the real question is, how many north korean players are going to defect for fear of torture after the whoopings they receive in group g?

I agree but after that there is brazil, Spain, Netherlands portugal to get through to the finals, that is not easy.

New Zealand is horrendous, and Slovakia is meh at best, but don't sleep on Paraguay.

they're without a doubt the toughest, hardest-hitting and best-defending team this side of the Atlantic. Italy will still advance, easily, but maybe not in first place.

    yeah, they're real ****ers.

they always seem to have trouble scoring, but they'll kick your ass to make sure you don't score either.

Well, Italy's never been a scoring machine either. Sounds like a defensive showdown.

I am pumped. Italy has a shot at a repeat.

As for US they're in a pretty easy group. Overall a good draw for both US and Italy.

england has a habit of failing in the big spot, and the us should be able to beat out algeria and slovenia

in any event, this is a significantly better draw than in 2006, and one that should see the us move past the group stages

Great draw for us. In all the possible scenarios, SA, Uruguay and Mexico was the best possible draw. I won't say easy since we've been sh*tting the bed as of lateso we'll see. At least we're not in a Death Group.

Good draw for US also. They can definitely get out of that group IMO.

from england's perspective this is not a great draw for them. USA beat Spain they can beat England too.

    LMAo....

Which hamperite is that jumping dude?

Hey Raoul, I'm a very very casual observer of the Soccer scene and I saw about that France Ireland match and the handball.

You prolly covered this already, but whats your take?

I was reading some of the Irish papers on line and they are still bitter feckers about all that. THe French player pretty much admitted it was a handball and deferred to the refs ruling.

That is a tough way to lose a spot in the WC.

Paulie, how do you root here, US first, then Italy or the wrong way?
