    Pop-Tarts: The Thread: The Poll

For the first time in ages I picked up some Pop Tarts yesterday. While basking in the joy of their artificial strawberry goodness, my girlfriend and I brought up the age old argument that has plagued all pop tart aficionados... toasted or straight out of the box? The girlfriend admitted to me that she in fact never toasted her tarts... I'm not sure if I can salvage the relationship after this heinous disclosure.

Where do all of you stand on this hot button issue? I realize this an uber-sensitive topic, apt to cause heated debate, but let’s try to keep things civil.

Toasted, or even microwaved. Only barbarians eat them non-heated.

My son (age 11), is a big Pop Tart fan. They are always toasted. I tasted one recently, and was surprised at how awful they were. As a kid, I thought they were great.

    Out of the box.

Actually pop tarts are weird, the doughy part tastes like cardboard, yet we eat them.

What kind of phag heats a pop tart?

Do you do this in your EZ BAKE OVen?

Although I'm firmly in the toasted camp... :high: :D I have to admit they seem pretty decent straight out of the box (was this always the case or have they improved). The nice thing about the out of the box option is that you completely avoid the pop tart burned roof of the mouth scenario... and the resulting annoying little bit of skin that dangles from the burn.
