FREE AGENCY dept. ~ ~ ~

    2009 NFL Free Agents
    By: Roshan Bhagat

~ ~ Age as of 9/1/10. All free agents listed here are done so with an optimistic outlook that a new CBA will be agreed upon. Accordingly, only four accrued seasons are necessary to obtain an Unrestricted Free Agency status on this list.

Lot of really good players on both sides of the ball this year. Let's hope we can nap a couple. Thanks Kelly, I use this site too to look up FA agents and stuff.

There are some good 3-4 players available here. Seymour and Jolly in particular. Nabbing one of them would be huge.
Doug Jolly
Johnny Jolly, Green Bay Packers (27)

Like Ryan Pickett, Johnny Jolly has very quietly put together a great season at defensive end for Green Bay’s front line under Capers’ scheme. Jolly has been very active up front playing contain and peeling off blocks to make plays himself near the line of scrimmage. Keep in mind that the Packers have a number of starters with expiring contracts this offseason, so Jolly could be one of the guys left out. He excels against the run, but doesn’t give much in the form of a pass rush. He’s played his best ball at defensive end in the 34, but has the size and ability to play some reps at nose tackle.

I hope we resign the guys we have on that list, Leon, Braylon, etc... a vet backup qb, which may end up being Penny. The name I really like is Koening, the Falcons punter, he also kicks off and can attempt long fgs.

    No chance.

There will no football in 2011 or there will be a new CBA.

No chance at an uncapped year. THe players and NFL just threw that in the deal to necessitate a renegotiation.

We have something special with this Jets team, a SB run is all about Mark Sanchez being able to develope into an elite QB.

Before the Jets go after any free agents, I would much rather the Jets Front Office put the $$$ into locking up Revis, Harris, Mangold, Ferguson, Leon and Edwards long term.

Can the Jets non-tender Leon and Braylon for 1st round picks because they are restricted free agents?

We need Elvis Dumervil from Denver!!!
A REAL pass-rushing DE who can get to the QB.
