Oh my god that would be awesome and crazy!
Have any teams ever played back to back games into the postseason?

    OUTSIDE of division teams?

Man I hate to do it but I think as a Jets fan you have to have a feeling of how it's going to go next week. Anyone remember many years ago when all the Bruce Coslet Jets had to do was beat the Houston Oilers in the last game, everything fell for us.

In the same situation in 1991, we beat the Dolphins in OT in the last game of the season to get into the playoffs at 8-8.

Damn! This is just like the Raiders scenario years ago when Hall made a 52 yard FG to put us in the playoffs and then we had to play them again the next week.
With Broncos loss, Jets move into #5 slot.

Win vs. Cincy clinches that position and guarantees Cincy stay at the #4.

    Jets @ Cincy..Opening Round.

    Bring Back Freeman !! :D
I can live with that.

Next year, if you come to NC to visit your son, come for a JET game.

We had a decent crowd today..... good fun.

If I was Marvin Lewis I'd be looking at resting my starters in the 2nd half and just scouting us for the upcoming playoff game. I actually think we have a better than normal shot at winning next week because of this.

    But, I might be crazy.

At least this debacle will go down in lore with the closing down of the Meadowlands. That one was in Houston.

You can't write this crap in Hollywood.

Yup, Jets did a couple years ago. Beat the Raiders on a last second fg to win then following week wildcard game lost to those bastids.

If Dallas beats Washington tonight they will play next Sunday night with the NFC East title going to the winner. The playoffs for the Jets starts next Sunday and hopefully they come through and win.

does cincy rest their starters/ cincy 2 weeks in a row

do you think cincy rests their starters since a loss wont impact their seeding unless the pats lose which they probably wont? and if the jets win they get the 5th seed which means they play cincy. could be like the jets vs raiders in 2001. hopefully the second game ends different though.

I think the Bengals will play it much like the Colts did today. Starters in for basically the first half.

Bengals have even less to play for than the Colts did today.
