Can the Jets be in the Playoffs before Sunday's 8:30 Kickoff?

    1)Browns beat Jacksonville
    2)New England beats Houston
    3)Steelers beat Miami
    4)Oakland beats Baltimore
    5)KC beats Denver
    6)Seattle beats Titans

If all this Happens we are in the playoffs before Sundays kickoff,I think!!!

I'd rather get in with a win instead of some other scenario.

For the love of god NO! This has been answered a MILLION times. The only scenario for the Jets is to win.

I think any tie breaker we have with Denver and Baltimore would be no more if we lose to Cincy. So the answer is no, we must win. Plus a crazy slate of games to go our way like that would never happen!

I think that was last week bro. The Jets can still get in with a loss. Not for the love of god and probably not a million times either:huh: sorry. Do your thing though.... Its funny

    No,
We must beat Cincy, the tie-breaker system involves Conference and also common opponents, I'm not sure which is first. But, if we lose to Cincy I believe we get knocked out because of the common opponent tie-breaker.

nope. We lose in any of the 8-8 tiebreakers. Under the scenario above, Pittsburgh and one of the 8-8 teams (other than the Jets) will be wildcards. The only way the Jets get in is at 9-7 (giving us another conference win) and we beat the others in a 9-7 tiebreaker. But lose the conference game to the Bengals and fall to 8-8, the other 8-8 teams own the tiebreakers.

Win and we are in. Lose and we are out. It doesn't matter what else happens before the game. That's why this game was "Flexed". The whole country gets to see Cincinnati pull its starters in the 2nd quarter.

This would put Pittsburg in at #5 and Denver at #6.

We cannot lose and get in. We can tie and get in, but we cannot lose and still get in.

This only would have been true if the Mets had won the World Series.

First of all, we need to win the game or we are OUT

Second of all, at least three of those possibilities have the same approximate probability of me sprouting wings and flying to the moon

This is not the outlook ,and attitude of football, if we are that desperate, what does that say of our chances with teams that beat the snot out of good above .500 teams all year.

There has to be a way to win the Super Bowl without us winning another game this season. Someone run some scenarios.

What happens if all of the above games end in a tie AND we end in a tie.....now that would be some serious stuff!

If we can't win at home against Cinci's B-team, we don't deserve to be in.

One of 'em on ESPN radio this AM was speculating that if NE loses their game, then Cincy will play their starters the entire game and try to get the #3 seed. Reason being, they'd rather face San Diego in the round after instead of Indy.

    Plausible.

Funny to hear that as it is probably just the opposite for Pats. I think they'd much rather face Indy than SD.

No, If the Jets had beaten Atlanta, they would have lost the next game to Indy. That's how they roll.
