The "I Know We're Going To Lose, We're Definitely Going To Lose" Thread

I've been a Jets fan since 1980 and I know a loss when I see it. Here's what's working against us:

    1. Home game.

    2. Night game.

    3. Cold weather.

    4. Quiet crowd.

    5. National TV.

    6. Unmotivated opponent.

    7. False sense of abilities.

    8. Opponent we don't respect.

    9. Quarterback inconsistency.

Not only are we going to lose, we may not get more than 6 points. I've seen this movie before. No, not Same Old Jets. Just not a good team with a culture that's not completely corrected yet. Instead of getting sick on Sunday night, I'm just going to get sick now. Will make it easier to take that way.

Why do you expect a quiet crowd?

Why do you think the Jets don't respect the Bengals?

    You have season tickets, right?

What'd you do with your tix for the game? Are you going?

Since you guarantee a loss, can I have your tickets for free?

I've been trying to convince myself that this game will be different. But we all

feel the same as you Sar. We are all scared as hell of Sunday night. Scared

that it will be another bad chapter. My stomach is already tied in knots.

Come on guys! I have been there as well (41 years old) and have felt all the pain. I have been in the "self pity gutter" for too many years. I choose to be more like my 9 year old son and be pumped this week, convinced we are going to win and go to the playoffs. Why not?! It will not make you feel any better if they do lose and you get to say " I told you so" You will still feel like crap! At least enjoy it now, hold you head up high and be convinced we are going to win!

Surprise blowout for the home crowd...and to add insult to injury, after the Bengals rest starters and call a "vanilla" game to hide their playbook, the Jets go to Cincy and beat a listless Bengals team in the WIld Card round.

I think we lose too. I'm just too nervous about this game.

I like Sanchez a lot, but I think he ****s the bed on Sunday.

Oh i am just sooo PUMPED i can not wait to be on prime time and just take it to Cincy...i Dont care who plays we are pretty evenly matched with this team minus our qb he plays with no turnovers i think we have a great shot and if we get into the playoffs minus turnovers this team could be a sleeper...reminds me of arizona just our runing game and D is their passing attack.

My stomach is in knots as well.

I can't shake it. Deep down I expect to lose or I'm at least telling me I'm expecting to so this team can't rip out my guts for the 31st year.
