    Ok, I've adopted a team (be gentle I'm new at this)

    Salisbury City FC

    Anyone hear of them? I'm going to need an interpreter for this stuff. For instance the headers on the standings are W D L. I assume W is for wins and L is for losses but D? Where's the T for ties?

    Oh! And what is a "frozen pitch"? Their match was cancelled today because of it. Was it too cold to play?

    Oh, I've got a long way to go with this stuff.

    LOL. The only way he gets interested in futbol is when a college chick gets him a jersey.

    Ok here's a bit of info you need to understand the way championships work. In all US sports, rankings are decided with a Win-Loss record. In soccer you have a point system.
    W = 3 points
    D (draw) = 1 point
    L = 0 points

    Each team plays each other twice (away and at home). At the end of the year, the team with the most points, wins the championship.

    Next week we'll talk about Cup competition and aggregate scores
