Thank You Woody Johnson & Jets F.O.!

Wow! I am super impressed & still reeling from last nights "Playoff Pep Rally". All the electronic billboards along with 4 Times Square itself was lit up with the NY Jet logos & Piercey's "Win & We're In" slogan. It was freakin awesome & here's some tidbits........

Curtis Martin, Bobby Jackson, Dave Herman & Leon Washington were the players on stage & when Curtis told the crowd "I've always wanted to do this" and led a J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets! chant. Everyone went wild!

Woody Johnson (finally) was thanked & acknowledged as "The Man With a Plan"! He was enthusiastically cheered by the crowd of over 20,000 and everyone started chanting "WOODY - WOODY - WOODY" which I personally feel has been long overdue. Thanks Bob for everything, U R really are the man.

There were also rousing cheers for GM Mike Tannenbaum, The Jets Flight Crew & the singing act. Fireman Ed let a J-E-T-S chant, but flubbed his speech a little so of course the crowd got a good laugh out of that.

I hate to take pleasure out of this (but only in NY kids) when Bloomberg spoke he was greeted with a 50/50 response. When they introduced the interim Gov. David Patterson the entire Jet collective boo'ed him off the stage! OMG even the NYPD officers working crowd control joined in the chorus of "Get Off The Stage" "U suck" & "Go Back To Albany" chants. :P

I met Polidore22 (Hey Andy keep up the good work) and wrestled my way up to the back of the media staging pit . I am a little miffed that I wasn't invited by the Jets FO to stand in front of the stage since I am the one who instigated this whole media blitz & rally in the first place, but luckily for me I have friends in Midtown North & the Sgt. working the gate let me in after I dropped a few names.

Actually see the guy in the pic (left corner with Sanchez jersey & NYJ white hat on backwards) that's Mike & I was standing right behind him with Joisey Jet.

I think they may need an even bigger space for next week's rally & I am thinking "Central Park Bandshell". U have to admit though with all of Times Square lit up in NY Jets green & white with the logos all over was pretty freakin cool.
