We wouldn't have Brick OR Mangold right now if they traded up for Bush. And Bush would have been brutal behind our OL.

Jetsound you are way off right now.
You are right.
I'm pissed.

I won't say Bush was the right move. Maybe trading down was.
I just think we didn't get our money's worth at #4 for Brick.
SD got Dielman in the 2nd.

Sorry,
Typical loser Jet fan after a loss.

Was railing yesterday about how we were going to win 10 SBs in a row, now we lose a game to a superior opponent and the cockroaches come out of the woodwork complaining about how every aspect of this team sucks.

No disrespect to cockroaches.
Huh-Darrelle Revis says hello!
Revis, Harris, Greene, Keller, Sanchez - they were agressive for these guys.

They were agressive for Robertson - and that sucked.

Brick, Gholston, Mangold - we sat and took them.
Thank god for Mangold.

Not taking Heath Miller and getting Justin Miller, Nugent and Jolley - that day still bothers me.

god - I'm pissed we lost today.

F off.
I was railing? 10 in a row?
I've been a happy to be here guy - and saying we should run all day on the undersized Colts.
You are the cockroach.

Ok got ya I misunderstood what you were saying. I'm pissed too but I really think this team is on the right track. Our drafts have been, for the most part, very solid and I think we finally have a mentally and physically tough QB to build around for the first time in my 35 years rooting for the Jets.

hahahaha you blast Brick yet you want Reggie Bush? Please tell me your joking. Bush is the definition of a JAG. Not a short yardage back, not durable enough to be a number 1 running back, and he has averaged a pathetic 3.9 yards a carry in his career. The numbers of a JAG.

Leon>Bush
I won't say Bush was the right move
Of course you won't because that would be an asinine thing to say. have you paid attention to Bush's career at all? He's a special teamer and third down back and you say Brick hasnt lived up to expectations?

Same ol' Jet fans saying we should have drafted a dime a dozen running back instead of an impossible to find franchise left tackle.

The guy is a top LT. I don't even think it's a question anymore.

9. #29
The offensive line wasn't bad at all today, they gave Sanchez plenty of time to make throws in crucial situations and sprang holes for Greene and TJ. The difference was that Greene could hit the holes they created and gain some decent yardage and TJ couldn't. Once Greene went out our offensive game plan of ground and pound became an impossible task with an injured, aging RB.

Einstein, I'm going to bed.

Do your research and tell me tomorrow WHAT our money would have been better spent on in that draft.

Seriously.

And don't go into the 4th round for someone who became a pro-bowler 4 years later.

Let ME know WHO in the top 10 or 12 would have been money better spent.

Because I've done this post a thousand times and there is NO ONE we could have taken at 4 better than Brick.

Or 5.

Or 6.

Or 7.

Or 8.

Or 9.

Or 10.

Or 11.

Or 12.

Or 13.

Or I could go on.

So shut up if you don't have a better name.

Saying "we could have done better" with out a name is just puzzysh*t.

Stop with the hate.

What, are you related to SAR?

But if he is not one of the best in the sport then how did he get elected to the Pro Bowl?

How did he start from day 1?

How does he get better each year?

Shut down the NFL's most elite pass rusher on the road in the biggest game of his life?

Come on Jetsound.................

You know nothing.
Leinart sucks (I know your joking).
But the one year we don't make a move (for Bush) is when we should.
We bit the big one moving up for D'Fat.
We move up for everyone.

Brick is a great guy - but only 1 step over a JAG.
Seriously? Stop posting drunk

14. #34
Tired of the morons on these boards.......D'BRICK is more than JAG....are you kidding me? How many sacks did FREENEY have today?
How many ridiculous Freeney "SPIN MOVE" highlighs did we have to put up with today?

NONE.

Thanks to D'BRICK.

So to you morons i say:

OPEN YOUR EYES BEFORE YOU DIE!

This is really being argued? Troll much? Brick without question is one of the best LT in football, he just turned 26 years old so hes got great years ahead.

His run blocking was turned around this year too, I've seen plenty of times he opened up big holes. For instance the Shonn Greene TD run last week him and Faneca mauled their guys.

I'm happy hes on our team.

What's with the personal attack?

Can't defend your indefensible position without attacking me?

Nice.

Long story short, the Jets lose and "fans" like YOU come out of the woodwork.

Enjoy your miserable life.
describe Emmet Smiths' career if we drafted him instead of Blair Thomas.
Do not discount the superior line he ran behind for years.

Sorry, but at 4, he should be one of the best in the sport - and he is not.
Schobel from the bills, owns him. Show him power - he folds.

I do see improvement - he has gotten thicker despite them only adding 5 pounds to his listed weight (they lied 4 years ago - he was likely 290 tops).
Schobel was quoted as saying that D'Brick is a Top 3 LT in the league....and by the way, he did very little against D'Brick this year. Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong on this one. D'Brick was one-dimensaional for a while, but he's turned himself into a complete player this past year, and his trip to the Pro-Bowl is well deserved.

Ngata would be the only other available player in the conversation (and I actually wanted him over brick before the draft, on the theory that a quality LT would be available in the 2d round of that draft)

I suppose that draft was a total wash out then.

You see guys come into the league as high picks and be great, so often.
Some on our own team.
I love watching Harris, a 2nd rounder - he is playing way over his draft position.
Brick has been OK - nothing special.
Always said he was good against speed - he can't handle strength/power.
Sure he is improving - he gave up 10 sacks as a rookie.

When guys play over their draft position - you have great teams.
I'm not a hater - I'm honest about his skills.

How did Lynch beat Rhodes out 2 years ago - popularity.
Brick is on the best line in football, and he got the nod.

Been fun - night.
