Destinations for Brandon

The first speculation was that Marshall would be headed to the Seahawks or the Redskins, via two of our NFL Nation bloggers.
Cincinnati has the need for a second WR to go along with Chad Ochocinco, but we're not sure the Bengals would want another head case, T.O. rumors notwithstanding.
The Cowboys need a legitimate No. 1 WR and Jerry Jones would have no problem forking out cash for a new deal to Marshall.
Dave Krieger of the Denver Post speculated on some new spots: the Ravens, Dolphins and Cardinals.
There's been a lot of speculation over the past few months as to where Brandon Marshall will wind up in 2010, with some of the candidates found at right. As far as a trade price tag, the ceiling for this will be a first round draft pick, as NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted that this is the level at which he was tendered by the Broncos. Marshall could go for even less, depending on a trade that another team works out with Denver.
One destination that will be mentioned for any receiver this offseason is Baltimore. The team is still bankrupt at the position even with Donte' Stallworth in town, and in order for Joe Flacco to properly develop, he needs to have a stronger cast of pass-catchers. But will Marshall's character give the team second thoughts? Not according to what owner Steve Bisciotti told Aaron Wilson of National Football Post.
Given the lowered price tag, the Jets have re-emerged as a possibility in the buzz we've heard on Thursday. There's still a need for a legit No. 1 WR, and Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum is not opposed to pulling off big deals.
AFC West blogger Bill Williamson provides a breakdown of several possible trade partners, and includes the Bucs, who do need to overhaul Josh Freeman's receiving corps. Still, it appears as though Seattle might be the most logical destination:

    Mutual benefit on this one
"This may be the front runner to land the receiver. The Seahawks have players to trade and Marshall would like to reunite with former Denver assistant coach Jeremy Bates, who is now Seattle's offensive coordinator."
JMO but Woody's not signing off on a trade and new contract for Brandon Marshall, and I don't think Tannenbaum would be interested in the first place. There's 12 teams listed (more than a 1/3rd of the league lol), just ESPN throwing **** at a wall and hoping it sticks.

    Could help Woody sell PSL's

I'd love to see the Jets give up a first round pick for a guy that will almost surely get himself suspended next year.

Marshall? Sorry, I don't see people plucking down $5K because Marshall is a Jet....Especially after the NY media chronicles all of Marshall's off-field behaviors....

    Per Peter King's twitter:

Bad news for Denver, and Brandon Marshall: I believe the Ravens won't be in Marshall market. Thought all along it was a good fit. No dice.

i would love to see us give up a first rounder for him. if it were up to me, i'd throw in our 5th to get it done.

btw, looks like dolphins will land dansby. if they do, great pick up. one of the few the dolphins would have made in the past 10 years that really pisses me off.

Thankfully, you aren't the Jets GM..and if you were you would know that you traded your 5th round pick to Cleveland along with your 3rd rounder and 2 players for Edwards...

Jets do have the Eagles 5th...

    Jesus, when will it end?

F*ck Marshall. And for that matter, f*ck trading a 1st or 2nd round pick for a receiver at all.

We just gave up two picks for Braylon, who aside from dropping an easy one here and there, is one of the more talented receivers in the game.

If we're going to give up a high pick in a trade scenario, then do it for a cornerback or a passrusher, not a goddamn WR!

Come on, Boynton. Sanchez is the only player on the Jets that's going to sell PSLs.

Brandon Marshall is not going to sell a single extra PSL.

    It's all about Sanchez.

I think it could be a desperation move to sell tickets just like Brett Favre. That said I do not see it happening. The sane move will be add defense and more defense.

I think a change of scenery could help Marshall and I think that he could gel with young Sanchez in the same way he gelled with a young Cutler. After all, we did say we'd open up the passing game a little bit this coming season, right? I mean, what better way to put pressure on an already weak (for now) Pats secondary (after all, the division STILL goes through NE despite what some may think) than by adding Marshall. There were a lot of reports that the Williams murder still ingers with him so maybe a change would do him good. I also don't see Rex standing for his childish behavior much like a young HC like McDaniels did. It's almost like us adding a Moss-like WR to our team.

With all due respect B. Marshall doesn't sell tickets. Favre? yes! Marshall? you can't be serious.
