Browns Trade OLB Wimbley to Raiders

Brady Quinn not the only Brown to get dealt today - LB Kamerion Wimbley dealt to the Radiers for draft pick or picks.

I think Jim Brown is going to be traded next

We should have gotten in on this fire sale. Even though were probably on the "Do not trade with list".

Lot of teams were in Wimbley derby - think Browns got a 3rd round pick and Raiders' 3rd obviously higher than others.

Lol youre probably right. We already got Sanchez and Edwards from them. We should have still asked for Wimbley and Thomas while we were at it.

I would have loved to have gotten Wimbley, would've solved our pass rush concerns cause no doubt Rex would've made the most of him. But yeah, I doubt they'd even be willing to trade with us at this point ;)

    That makes, well, one.

But yeah, very nice deal for them, IMO.

There's some pretty talented players on that team...they just seem to suck collectively due to the Raiders vortex.

    Thomas Howard...Kirk Morrison...Seymour...Huff...Aso...Wimbley...Kelly....Johnson...Routt...Trevor Scott...all guys I'd take on our D.

Mike Holmgren probably walked in the door the first day and said his first order of business was to have tech support block Mike Tannenbaum's number permanently on all their phones.

From the Browns board- a posters thoughts on Wimbley:
One dimensional. He looked like a retard running after a watermelon trying to cover. I'm not saying he was horrible, but we can do better in the draft. And people let me ask you this, when has Oakland made a good personnel decision?

He's still a young talented pass rusher.....Oakland will probably use him exclusively as that, at DE.....he was playing OLB in Cleveland's 3-4

I think it's up to 13 now with the Wimbley trade; and this is before the compensatory picks (I'd guess they'd get 1-2).

15 picks in one draft is a TON. Something tells me they're going to be wheeling and dealing; if anyone is going to trade up in this draft, it'll probably be them. Bradford perhaps?

I completely agree. I think he's a good fit in Oakland and they definitely needed him after cutting Greg Ellis.
