Look at number of carries. They need a large number of carries to be commparable.

I ran a graph, I don't know how to post it, please help me if you can. It shows that LT's yards from scrimmage have declined steadily since 2006, while TJ's yds from scrimmage have been constant since 2004 at about 1500.
Does anyone read these posts before posting for themselves anymore..... Why is this still a mystery to you....HIS O-LINE IN SD SUCKED MOOSE B@lls!!!!

Had LT on my fantasy team last year and watched almost every snap of the SD O - yes LT has lost a step but I assure you his OL was putrid and responsible for his ineffectiveness - he would rarely see a hole and get hit in the backfield most of the time.

I think he has a resurgence behind the Jet OL and has a nice 2 yr run - definitely more upside than TJ IMO.

Wait, you made a graph that says that TJ's yds from scrimmage in 2007 was constant with 2009, although TJ had 1,116 yds and 3.6 ypc in 2007 and 1,402 yds and 4.2 ypc in 2009???

Why is there a 58 yds difference with TJ's actual rushing yards in 2009 but a 217 yds difference with TJ's actual rushing yards in 2007???

But he has a graph. A graph I tell ya. What do you have?

  9. #209

Its yds from Scrimmage, not just rushing yds

Its yds from scrimmage, not just rushing yds. I want to be fair to include LT's receiving contributions.

All joking aside if there is any juice left in the lemon then this is an awesome deal for the Jets. If not there is still the star power and the PR aspects to keep Woody happy. With Leon uncertain I still think the Jets may open to drafting RB help in the middle to late rounds.

Oh and I think Shonn Greene is probably one-and-done on that particular end zone celebration now.

wait until you see the 2010 yards with TTY behind the awful KC mess and LT behind the Jet OL

    LT - 160 carries, 700 yards, 50 catches 450 yards

    TTY - 180 carries 450 yards 2 catches 14 yards

What you see in these videos is why the Jets went after LT. He will be a great mentor for Shonn Greene and adds something new to the Jets arsenal. His issues the last few years were serious but not career threatening. Two years ago it was bad turf toe and a groin pull. Last year he had a sprained ankle to start the season. Playing when you are not totally healthy will cost anyone a step. If his ankle and toe stay healthy, he will be extremely productive in this offense.

Oh I see now....you're correct he does have a graph, If I had known he had a graph I wouldn't have posted that last post. LOL

Just what we need another stat monkey who obviously ignores the tangibles that contribute to the stats. Like..... oh never mind I am tired of repeating myself about this.

Welcome LT I am glad you are here and I for one, really want you to get a Super Bowl ring as a member of the J E T S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!

    Then your graph is useless.

LT's decline in rushing yards coincides with 2 things (1) age and (2) the deterioration of the Charges OLine.

TJ's increase in rushing yards coincides with the improvement of the Jets Oline. Hence, TJ's poor numbers in 2007. You can't just throw in receiving yards to mask that.

By the way I am hopeful that effective screens will be a much bigger part of our offense next year. LT in space can still do some damage I think.

I would also add the emergence of Phillip Rivers as a dominant passer to that equation SMC but I think your two are probably #1 and #2 still.

Yes he can still do damage. Thats one thing we haven't had, especially once Leon went down. Out of the back field as a reciever LT can still get great YAC.

    That almost sounds perverted....LOL
