    Not a chance dude.

Vikings @ Saints will be the Thursday Night Opener.... Steelers will not be the team the Saints play now with the Big Ben rape thing.

oh- and i thought it was the fact Shea, while holding cherised memories, was really a sh!thole....

I don't get it. Are you agreeing or disagreeing?

    I agree.

However, I'm proud that Woody stood his ground for his fans. (At least that was part of the reason )

I'd rather the Sunday game. Not because it's that big of a deal to me that the Jets play first, but I could've gone to that game. I can't go Monday night, I have to be at school that day........

I'd rather have the Monday night game since it will be seen by the national audience. No one will see the crappy Giants opening the stadium.

nice not only do we have the favre connection but LT as well and don't think we forgot about winfield in '04..i can still remember seeing the news on espn showing the Jets signing Winfield and then being so damn annoyed that he decides, or rather his wife, decides to sign with the Vikings that was a 1st for me ladies and gentlemen.

Jets stomped the vikes in '02 and again in '06 if i'm not mistaken, both @ Minny

Has anyone checked the Saints home schedule? Talk about an easy path to 8 wins. Most likely they're gonna play the Vikings... which sucks because that would be the best game for us I think.

Oh well, we'll play the Pats.

Sidenote: Who's gonna boo Favre when he comes to town?

And the entire nation will see this beautiful new green lit stadium and associate it with the JETS! It's actually not a bad deal after all.

This is a pretty great deal. I think I'd much prefer the first Monday Night game to just a regular Sunday afternoon game. I'm very happy with this.

    This is bull....

Second class citizens as always. I hate this shared stadium nonsense.

Billionaire owns a team and cant gets his own stadium built? Sucks.

    Nets? New home alone.

    Devils? New home alone.

Every other football team... homes alone.

The two in the biggest media market in all of football? Share a stadium...? Huh?

Detroit has ZERO population left now, but they got a stadium. Its older now but they aint forced to share.

LA has no team but has a stadium for one to play in.

Smaller market teams have their own homes. Jets and Giants gotta share? Is there that much red tape in the northeast?

Opening on Monday Night is MUCH more special. Not only does the entire world get to see the stadium for the first time as the Jets home, it will be at night, showing off all the lighting tech they are using to make the stadium unique to each team.

Lots of soccer teams in Europe do it. AC Milan and Inter Milan being the most notable.

I personally like the MNF game. Really looking forward to it!

As long as the building doesn't say Giants Stadium on it, I'm happy.
