    he showed flashes.

obviously had some personal things he needed to take care of, and i commend him for having his priorities in line.

wish him the best of luck.

He had thyroid problems and that's why he retired. Apparently he's been seeing Reyes' doc and is now cured.

    :D

I thought he gave up football?

Good for him, giving it another go. Good luck. Maybe he'll pull a Kurt Warner and be the Super Bowl MVP in 6 years.

I wasn't happy when he left. I really thought he had potential. Was diagnosed with a hyper thyroid condition yet he was still able to play at a decent level. They started a drug treatment for it but he suprisingly left football to finish his degree. He is still only 28 and worth a look imo.

kevin barlow averaged under 3 yards per carry. remember that o-line? the jets went from the worst o-line to the best. but still, i wouldn't want him back. isn't greene LT and leon enough depth at that position?

Houston was never (and never will be) a star by any means, but the guy was a damn good goal line back.

I agree. He wasn't feature back material, but as part of a committee of backs he could have been really good.
