speaking of gratitude and PETA....I remember right before the Iraq war when France pulled out and everyone was calling them a bunch of weasels...

well PETA stood up for the weasel mentioning how they are a hard fighting animal/rodent/whatever and that they should not be compared to the french...true story...I'll try and find the link...

Meh. Maybe if people didn't so crap like this to animals, stuff that would give Dr. Mengele some serious wood, "animal rights activists" wouldn't have anything to "activate"(?) about...

look up tai babalonia...she was a pair skater in the '80 olympics favored to win the gold...her partner, randy gardner, had a severe groin injury and they tried to warm up for the short program but had to withdraw because of the injury....big moment of the games eventually overshadowed by the hockey team...anyway she fell off the deep end...last winter she was skating in rockerfeller center, stripped down to her bra and panties then skated around, with kids on the ice, to protest fur....go figure....

my mother was wearing a fur coat in NYC years ago and they were harrassing her....she said to them, "thanks to me there's less racoons in the world to knock over your garbage cans"....thought it was pretty funny as did the people around her in the city....

No apologies required, I assumed your intentions were on the up and up.

I regretted that I had to lock it, but Political debate is (for now) forbidden, as are threads that veeer into that direction.

And with that said, thread has served it's purpose, and is Closed.
