Thread: So I dropped off my GF's expensive bracelet to get repaired, and....

    So I dropped off my GF's expensive bracelet to get repaired, and....

    The store has been shuttered for almost 2 weeks now.

    The phone seems disconnected and there are no signs on the doors of the store.

    I dropped off a pretty expensive pearl bracelet ($1000+) to get restrung, and now this place has gone MIA.

    Am I screwed? Will I ever get this bracelet back?

    Any ideas friends?

    Unless you get ahold of the owner, you're screwed.

    We had a jewelry store shut down here a few years back b/c they went bankrupt. Creditors had a lein on everything in the store. People that had items in for repair played hell trying to get their stuff back, but they finally did after paying for any work that had been done.

    Sorry man. Sounds like what Ches said. At least it wasnt something like an authentic jersey or your canoe. You can always buy more pearls.

    you may be able to file a claim under your homeowners/renters insurance depending on if you have it and the coverage you have....off premises theft is what it amounts to...

    LOLz at all of the responses in this thread.

    Made me feel better, even though I know I'm never going to see that bracelet again. Although it was expensive, it had a lot of sentimental value, and that's the real disappointing part.

    I plan on giving her a number of pearl bracelets tonight tho....aayoooo
