9-7 with a Rookie QB and Rookie Coach. That does not happen every year either.

Let's just see how the off season continues to progress. The NY Jets appear to be very aggressive while the Pats appear to be still licking the wounds that Ray Rice gashed upon them
Calm down, you seem very upset and sensative about the topic.
I'm quite calm. It's just that I've never been able to suffer fools easily.

What's done is done. Water under the bridge, over the dam, whatever.

Pats were busy in the offseason re-signing key pieces to their roster. Wilfork,Bodden and Banta-Cain. Let's hope they take care of Mankins next. Brady is the main cog in their O and will retire a Patriot in 5 or 6 more years.

Getting Crumpler fills a need at one TE position. Almost guaranteed that they will draft a TE with one of their 4 high draft picks. Patten at WR is a bandaid that is familiar with Brady. Nothing spectacular, but may still have something left and can mentor Tate,Edelman, and any other rookie WR that comes aboard.

Every team has holes to fill. This season looks to be one of the more competitive in the AFC East in some time. Looking forward to seeing if the Jets can shake off the ghosts of seasons past.

The fact that some of you think it does is hilarious!!

So, first you say people are fools for making predictions before the draft so early in the off-season, then you go on to predict the Jets will be out of it by week 5.

Do you see anything wrong with this picture? Lesson? Don't be an idiot.

I didn't bring that up, you did. "You guys" is a pretty broad brush stroke.

The only ones that bring up SB wins are fans. Players have moved on.

    New Season, New Slate. 0-0

Jets fans are still preening about how their team "almost" made it to the SB.

You know as well as anyone that close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

You guys = Pats fans that post on this site

    This is a fans' site

This thread is specific to the off season. One in which the fans of this site see the team very active and moving in the direction Jets fans can appreciate
True, but winning the division is every teams first priority as it guarantees a spot in the playoffs. Duplicate last season's Jets record of 9-7 and chances are vey good you don't get gifted-in two years in a row.
Jeez, this again.........regardless of whether we were 'gifted' in or NOT, we made the MOST of our post-season opportunity, where as the Pasts* did NOT.

Pats STB bigtime. Nobody is arguing that.

Jets have to play 16 games again and probably win 10 or 11 to get back in.

Sanchez will make or break the team this year. Maybe Rex reins him back and relies on the running game more. If he ends up with a red lite, yellow lite, green lite card, you know the Jets are in trouble.

The Jets will win next season because of their stellar and apparently even more stout defense. Most teams will have only 3 players in which to advance the ball with.

Long off season left, but the addition of LT makes the next version of the NY Jets even more dangerous on offense. They can now reignite the screen game.

Again the physicality of this team is an over match for most NFL teams on both sides of the ball.

Right now it looks as though a spread offense with speed may hurt the D somewhat. Thus the need for a mean pass rusher. In games like this Sanchez will have to make the right throws. Again, this is the type game that the running game (No 1 in the NFL last season) will dominate the clock.

Sanchez has done more as a rookie than most NFL QB's (Romo for instance) do in several seasons.

Ground on Offense, Pound on Defense
