I'd probably go with Godfather Part II as the best.

Others worthy of consideration...

a couple of James Cameron flicks;
Aliens
Terminator 2

The Wrath of Kahn
The Empire Strikes Back
The Dark Knight
Evil Dead 2
Bride of Frankenstein

Hmmm, didn't really think of Dark Knight as a sequel, but I guess it fits the category. Throw that up there with Back II the Future 2 for me

Godfather 2 by far the best sequel of all time. Simply amazing, particularly the lengthy flashbacks to the early 1900's with Robert DeNiro. Those segments were captivating and always created a jolt when they brought you back to 1960's w/Al Pacino. Wonderful editing, direction and of course screenplay and acting. No other sequel even comes close.

The Two Towers was pretty cool. The Lethal Weapon sequels weren't too bad. Empire Strikes Back was awesome. Didn't mind the Hellboy sequel. Die Hard movies were cool. Bourne movies, Indiana, the list goes on and on.

Godfather Part II - I liked it equally, if not more, than the first. Either way, both are excellent movies.

American Pie 2 - Both 1 and 2 are up there in my favorite comedies.

1 AND 2, Greatest all around movies, no doubt.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkUnDisz8z0....you may not realize it when you watch the movie in it's entirety, but each scene is amazing....music, background noise like water, acting, props, camera angles, everthing. Greatest movies of all time.
