Thread: JI 2010 Mock Draft rules and discussion...

My best draft goes to the Bucs, 49ers (mostly), Titans, Steelers (tail end tails off, but w/e), KC, Browns (except JPP), the Eagles quietly cleaned up...

Man if I didn't go so linehappy with the Cardinals their draft could have been awesome.

    Best single draft...hmmm:

I'm going Bucs. The Eagles, Chiefs, and Titans fought for this spot.

    Worst single draft:

Redskins. Okung was a great pick, then it fell off a cliff. Newhouse was the next good pick after that. I guess I don't like the Chargers draft all too much either, but Venom got good value in the 3rd and 4th.

Expect the Browns and those with alot of picks to trade all over the place trying to get the guys that they want. My draft theory is that you should target who you want, try your best to get them, and not settle for your second choice until you absolutely have to. Otherwise you end up with a Kellen Clemens instead of a Jay Cutler...though sometimes you also get a David Harris instead of a Lamarr Woodley.

If I could redo my Jets draft I'd go:

    Cody
    Linval Joseph
    Kendrick Lewis
    Lindsey Witten
    Zoltan Mesko
    Shuler Jr.

Build the future DL...grab a FS prospect I really like (though I am a big Chancellor fan)...steal Witten, Mesko, and Shuler Jr.

If I could redo the Cardinals draft, then I'd go:

    Griffen
    Veldheer
    Gibson
    Arenas
    Thomas (CB, USC)
    Quarles (TE Penn. St)

Now that the last pick has come and gone, the undrafted free agent signing period has begun! I had fun last year with this part of the game and I hope people decide to join in. I think by the time we were done Ham said we could have something close to 18 players a team. I think 12 is a good number to start out with first. Signing good rookie free agents I feel is still part of the draft process. Happy hunting guys.

The board fell in my favor, luckily. Last year I just missed out on all my mid round pics. This year I got all players I targeted except for one. Jared Veldheer. Gato snagged him 10 or so spots ahead of me at the end of the 2nd to the beginnig of the 3rd.

How do we do UDFAs? There's alot of guys that are still sleepers here.

People just posted their list in the pick announcement threads. I'm choosing not to participate in that 255 prospects for the draft is enough for me.

PS: 12 is way too much considering the picks of the litter is going to be gone by the time the first couple lists come in. If you're going to do it, there should be a more fair way to distribute the remaining talent then first come, first serve.

I like the Jax draft. The Bears were tough to work with and I'm not a really a fan of Briscoe at all.

Jax fans are praying Haden falls to 10. And I also think they need a play making WR, so LaFell in the 3rd would be a good pick. Good team for Levfevour to go to. You signed 3 players I was looking to draft in round 7. Joique Bell, Joe Palewek, and Antonio Brown.

Yes Beerfish- Harbour is more of a Hybrid Tight End drafted him to backup Miller and be used in the Passing game. Now that Holmes is gone I would of grabbed a wideout earlier!

Good draft for both teams...especially the Jaguars. The Bears need a road grading G by Chris Williams, and Myron Lewis is exactly the kind of DB that organization likes...he's similar to Tillman.

Really like Jacksonville's first two picks.

D'you see some of these undrafted guys? Robinson..Ross...Render...McFadden...Brown...Colem an..Pawelek...then there's guys like Lorenzo Washington...Josh Moore didn't get taken I think...Coleman...Worthington...Hall Davis...this draft is loaded in that sense.

So far my first 3 picks for TB were first rounders. Pretty good job so far.

You will have to update your own draft board in the Big board thread.
