University of Utah wide receiver David Reed visited the New York Jets on Monday, according to a source close to the program with knowledge of the situation.
Reed is an All-Mountain West Conference first-team selection who caught 81 passes for 1,188 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games last season.
Reed's Pro Day workout was attended by a Baltimore Ravens assistant.
He has also garnered interest through the draft process from the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns.
Reed improved his 40-yard dash to 4.52 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout after running a 4.56 at the NFL scouting combine.
The 6-foot, 191-pounder registered a 37-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225 pounds 15 times. He has also posted a 9-6 broad jump and a 4.38 in the 20-yard shuttle.
In two seasons after transferring to Utah from a junior college, Reed caught 106 passes for 1,615 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Known for his sound hands and crisp routes, Reed is also a dangerous kickoff returner.
