Anyone else notice that 40 times seem to be down this year?

Anyway...still a good player...I'm sure he and the NFL will get over it in time.

    down as in slower?

If that's what you're saying, it depends on the position. The WRs, CBs and RBs this year were faster than last year. The DEs seemed quite a bit slower this year, but the DTs were lightning fast... several 300lb dudes at or under 4.9

I think, on the whole, this year was faster than last year... especially at the skill positions.

Last years were down too...I remember that being a big deal. Didn't they put in a new turf in Indy or something that affected the numbers?

Interesting prospect. Anyone have an idea what round he's projected to go?

    Gainesville Sun:

Cunningham, who weighed in at 269, ran his first 40 in 4.92 seconds. He fell at the end of his second run after tweaking a quadriceps muscle.

Despite the injury, Cunningham pushed through the rest of the workout and appeared to perform at a high level.

"Oh yeah, (I got some positive feedback)," he said. "I wasn't 100 percent, but I did what I can. I knew I would be able to come back out. I got a little whirlpool and loosened it up and tried to push through it. In the end, I felt I did pretty good."

could be the turf... but it didn't seem to hurt Ford or Mays.

And the Pro Day times aren't affected by the turf at Lukoil. Guys are just plain faster this year.
