Roethlisberger is a scumbag
The Roethlisberger Documents: "His Penis Was Already Out Of His Pants"

Now we know exactly what Roethlisberger was accused of doing that night: straight up, unprotected sex. Let's dig right in to the sordid details, shall we?

Since no charges will be brought, the investigation records become public; The Smoking Gun has 572 pages of them. Included are witness statements from those present in the bar, including the victim and her friends. Among the highlights:

•The encounter lasted about ten minutes, beginning from when Roethlisberger entered the back area "with his penis already out of his pants." The alleged victim repeatedly told him she didn't want to have sex, but he kept reassuring her, as they had unprotected sex. She told her friends immediately after, and they reported it to the first police officer they saw.

•According to her friend, both the girl and Roethlisberger were "noticeably intoxicated". His bodyguards "dragged" the victim to the back, and he followed two minutes later. When her friends approached the bar manager to unlock the bathroom door, he told them "Ben's an NFL quarterback, he won't do anything to ruin his reputation."

•The alleged victim had met up with Roethlisberger earlier in the night at another bar, where he called her and her sorority sisters "a tease." They ran into him again at Capital City, where the back room was roped off to everyone but Roethlisberger and "10 to 15 girls." One of her friends told police afterwards that she thought the whole thing was a "set-up," and that Roethlisberger had selected the alleged victim earlier in the evening.

•The alleged victim was wearing a nametag labeled "DTF" When asked, she said it stood for "down to ****." Roethlisberger replied, "I'm not down to ****, but I like to **** girls."

•One of the girls in the group left the bar angrily after Roethlisberger purchased a round of drinks, saying "all my *****es, take some shots."

•Roethlisberger's bodyguards were deleting photos from people's cameras and phones that depicted Roethlisberger drinking.

•When they got home, one of Roethlisberger's friends asked him what had happened in the bathroom. Roethlisberger told him nothing had happened, and that they were just "messing around." He said that she had slipped, and once he had helped her up, he told her they were not going to continue.

•On March 17, 12 days after the incident, a lawyer for the woman requested that the rape probe be dropped, because "a criminal trial would be a very intrusive experience."

So there you have it. By avoiding charges, Roethlisberger escaped potential jail time. But he didn't escape having the sleazy details of his night in Milledgeville splashed all over, for everyone to judge.

This thing gets worse and worse. Off duty cops were blocking the entrance..
Accuser says Roethlisberger's 'bodyguards' complicit in alleged rape

Ben Roethlisberger's accuser gave Milledgeville, Ga., police a detailed, written account of how the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback's "bodyguards" were actively involved in him allegedly raping her, according to public documents obtained Thursday by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and The Associated Press.

In one of two statements the accuser gave to police, the 20-year-old college student said the "bodyguards" -- later identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as off-duty police officers Ed Joyner and Anthony Barravecchio -- prevented her friends from getting to her while she was in a small bathroom with Roethlisberger on March 5 at the Capital City nightclub.

"He said, Hey,' and he started talking to [redacted] (nothing in particular), and his bodyguards took him back to the 'room' w/ bathroom," the woman wrote in her statement. "I said, 'I don't know if this is a good idea,' and he said, 'It's OK.' He had sex w/me and meanwhile his bodyguards told my friends they couldn't pass them to get to me."

The statements were included in the Roethlisberger case file that the GBI made public Thursday under the state's open-records law. The case officially was closed Wednesday.

Roethlisberger, who learned this week that Georgia authorities wouldn't charge him after their monthlong investigation into the sexual-assault allegation, made "crude, sexual remarks" and called the woman a "tease" during a night of bar-hopping before the incident, she said.

The woman also said Roethlisberger told her, and her friends, to take numerous shots of alcohol. Then one of his bodyguards escorted her into a hallway at the nightclub, sat her on a stool and left. She said Roethlisberger walked down the hallway and exposed himself.

"I told him it wasn't OK, no, we don't need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave," she said.

According to the woman's statement, Roethlisberger then followed her into a nearby bathroom and shut the door.

"I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me," she wrote. "He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything."

Nicole Biancofiore, one of the woman's friends who also provided an account to police, said the woman "was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital (City). She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening." Biancofiore also said she saw another friend, Aliesha Scholten, try to open the locked bathroom door, but "she was taken away by a bodyguard of Ben's."

Another one of the woman's friends, Ann Marie Lubatti, said she "approached the other security guard and told him that she [the accuser] was in no shape to be back there with Ben Roethlisberger. He couldn't look me in the eye, and told me he didn't know what was going on. My friend went to open the door, and it was locked."

The GBI identified that bodyguard as Joyner and determined the man who led Roethlisberger's accuser down the hallway was Barravecchio. Joyner is a Pennsylvania trooper, and Barravecchio is an officer in Coraopolis, Pa., a Pittsburgh suburb.

Attorney Michael Santicola, who represents Barravecchio but said Joyner also is a longtime friend, confirmed March 10 that the two officers were present, but not in an official capacity. He said the two men are friends with Roethlisberger and didn't witness any criminal activity or inappropriate behavior. He said the officers "have no memory" of meeting his accuser.

Lt. Myra A. Taylor, a spokeswoman for Pennsylvania State Police, said Thursday night that the agency is receiving a copy of the investigative report from Georgia authorities.

"We will thoroughly review the report and determine if there is a violation of Department regulations on the part of Trooper Edward Joyner," she said.

According to the investigators' summary of events, Roethlisberger's friend, Brad Aurila, had a conversation with the quarterback when they returned to his house that night and asked him why police showed up at the nightclub. In an interview with police, Aurila said Roethlisberger told him nothing had happened and that he "was in the back with a girl" and they were "messing around." Aurila said he "took 'messing around' to mean 'kissing, whatever.'"

Roethlisberger was surrounded by women, according to statements made by the accuser's friends.

"At the back of Capital City, the room was blocked off for him and females only," Biancofiore wrote in a statement to police.

After the accuser emerged from the bar and told Biancofiore and Lubatti about the encounter, the women left.

"I walked up to the first cop car we saw and told them what happened," Lubatti said in a statement.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is reviewing the matter, and Steelers president Art Rooney II said Thursday that the league and team probably won't settle on any punishment until after next week's draft.

With all this coming out how come PIT didn't trade him for a 5th round pick
or just cut him??? Why is there a double standard for how PIT treated
Holmes and "Rape-isberger"??? What Rape-isberger has done is far worse
than what Holmes did, to use a security force to cover up your attempted
    rape is disgusting

So we've got a bunch of young women who think it's cool to be a **** and a professional QB who is a drunken thug and a bunch of bodyguards who help him commit crimes. Sad commentary on how screwed up our reality TV, addictive, zero value culutre we have.

That said, Rothlisberger should have gone to jail. If that wasn't rape, I don't know what would be, no matter how bent in the head that girl is...

It does seem as if Pitt was somewhat disingenuous by making an example of Holmes and letting Rapelisburger slide...that being said I'm sure there will be a one game suspension or some other minor penalty looming from the league and team.

I think a single game would be an embarrassment JW. Better to give him a "stern warning" than a single game.

The worst part about the whole ordeal is his body guards were off duty cops and they were right in the middle of the entire thing helping Roethlisberger rape the girl!

first of all you cant compare the holmes thing to the ben thing.

holmes wanted to be traded out of pittsburgh, and his getting a 4 game suspension helped him in his cause.

as far as ben goes, i am sure the rooneys & goodell will agree on a punishment that fits. i am guessing 4 game suspension.

second of all, these statements that are coming out or all what the accuser said, we have not seen or heard any of ben's statements or his witnesses statements, so you cant make a fair judgement on the situation until you hear both sides.

third, the girl shouldnt have been drinking and under age. when you get drunk, you get into trouble. and wearing a name tag with something like that on it... real cool right? NOT. if you want to act like a two bit wh ore, then you will be treated like one.

and last, i am very disappointed in ben and thinks he needs some mental help, but why are we cruifying him and not her???? she contributed to the cause.

not trying to start an agruement or make any one mad. just wanting you to see both sides. :)

    GO DIXON??????

I don't think she finds her "DTF" nametag so cool anymore.

That being said, the way the whole scene is depicted, he really comes off as a predator.

I think the Steelers are selective indignant about their players behavior.

A receiver with 12 games left in his Steeler career is going to be treated different than a franchise QB signed to a long term contract..facts of life.

That being said, John Clayton said yesterday he thought the suspension could be 2-4 weeks..being coordinated with the league.

With as tight as Goodell and Rooney are, is there any doubt that this a factor in the holdup in the release of the schedule.

If it turns out to be a one game suspension, don't be shocked if the Steelers open on the road at a non-division opponent..maybe even non-conference.
