Their pick of McCourty may prove to be the biggest addition to their D in the nickel pkg and run support...

The only fault so far is not taking a RB sooner....hate to rely on the Bucket List guys to move the chains on the ground....
another run at what? one and done in the playoffs???

they are reloading alright- Mesko should get plenty of work starting in September...

Alotta bluster from the fan of an 8-8 team that got a laydown last season.

This season will let us know how real the Jets are......everyone expects them to walk away with the AFC East and go to the SB.....

    It isn't that easy.....

Jets lost TJ who was the bellcow runner on the Jets....Miami and Pats are retooling their run D...or hadn't you noticed?

Everything keys on Sanchez, and you have no idea how much he progresses or regresses in his sophomore year......

Mangina looked like a genius his first season with Jets...Jets fans said they stole the brains behind the Pats Defense...How'd that work out for you?

And your basing your evaluation of how bad the Pats D is based on one game that they stunk it up....Keep that thought if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy...

so we have to wait and see how Sanchez does in his second year but fear the pats and fish as they are retooling their defense w/rookies?? got it...

seems the only bluster is coming from the bandwidth you're wasting....then again there was plenty of time for bluster on your end since January watching other NFL teams play football...

100% serious Skip. I love how BB worked his magic this year. I love how everyone here just poo-poos his trades and moves and laughs at his picks. It proves to me that most of you folk just don't get it. The Pats ARE re-loading and getting much needed youth, yet are remaining competitive while they do it. Seriously, WHO does that in todays NFL? The Pats had a lot of holes and they plugged them with some good looking college kids. We'll see how that works out for them. The Jets had fewer holes going onto the draft, yet seemingly have CREATED a few with dubious (money-saving?) moves. And I still think people will regret swapping LT for TJ and making Greene carry the heavy load. And FauxJet is correct when he says that a successful season is totally predicated on the Sanchize. If he fails to improve and duplicates last year, the Jets go 8-8.

Fear Brandon Spikes who is slower than myself and was a total reach.

Fear some reach named Cunningham, hopefully he's as productive as the last Gator Meyer told Belly about (Chad Jackson)

Fear a giant white tool whose back will give out in week 2.

Only thing to fear is the new cheating methods Ernie Adams has employed, Belicheat with yet another underwhelming draft.

what the F is a bellcow runner

If it means he only ran for two yards and then had to stop to be milked then it's an accurate description of Thomas Jones.

If I was being a wiseass, I would note that Faux Jet's evaluations of running backs might be a bit weak with him still claiming that Maroney will be a stud "if he stays healthy"

SG is flailing again......I said Solid RB...not a STUD....

BTW, How did that #1 NYJ Defense look against him last November?

Looks like BB is going to stick with the Bucket List guys at RB ...have to wait next year for a "STUD" RB to be drafted.......

    Kaffee: I want the truth!
Col. Jessep: [shouts] You canít handle the truth!

You keep calling Groks a "giant white tool". Are you a racist in addition to being a classless lowlife loser?

I wish the Pats had a good GM like Ozzie Newsome. He NEVER would have drafted two TE's before Round 5.

ILB,OLB,CB, TE x2, WR drafted early...all areas of need

Grabbed top rated Punter in 5th...a round or two early, but an absolute need with Hansen sucking hind teet in punting in the NFL.........if he can match his college production he'll do fine in NFL.....

Poised for another run to post season.....

Look at all those studs the Patriots have drafted in recent years. Incredible talent. I'm counting 4 players that have been to pro-bowls. Zero perennial pro-bowlers.

Just an incredible job drafting Bill. I fear what you are going to do with your future picks that you have accumulated so many of. I'm sure many of those players were drafted as players of need. The problem is, you have to also pick up quality players when you pick up players of need... Bill hasn't solved that one yet.

jets didn't lose tj, the jets discarded tj and chose to go with with LT and Greene. you see, when you have as much talent as the jets, you defecate pro-bowl level talent and it doesn't affect you...

edit: i really like how the chowds keep pointing to tj as the reason we'll fall apart this year. they make it sound like some other team came in the middle of the night and stole him from under our noses. not that we just dumped him or anything...

Just focusing on whiffs since 2006 -- the years Billy had the final say

X= no longer on the Pattycakes

NS = maybe still there but not starting or making any sort of significant impact

your 2009 list isn't the Pattycake draft list so I haven't copied it. To be fair I think it has more guys that made the roster than previous whiffs and one that is a good starter in Vollmer
