I'm in but not overly hopeful of my predictions - too straight forward and nothing is straightforward in these big tourneys. I expect a lot of surprises - predicting exactly when and where is the thing!!

    I'm on fire!

At work we have a pool going, and I've predicted 9 games out of 11, with 3 correct scores too.

3 out of 11 scores correct. IS that really that good? If I just said every game 1-1, I would get 3 out of 11

First you have to pick out the outcome: pick a winner or draw. In that category I'm 9 for 11

Within the 9 I've picked correctly, I have on top of that 3 correct scores.

Yep, I have the prizes ready and waiting for the winner. The only thing is the winner has to come to Turkey to collect them.

    See ya in Bodrum.

I was on the coast of turkey in 02'. beautiful, fun, scary time.

Ive officially taken the lead in the pool, and my championship push is nearing.

    Nothing too bad.

The people were great, but my ferry boat docked late,(after transportation was closed), and I was stuck in roaming the streets all night with no place to sleep.

It was a motivational experience now I look back on it, but at the time it was stressful.

My own fault though. I should have planned it better.

I REALLY enjoyed the coast. The secluded beaches were AWESOME!

I guess it can be scary wondering the streets of a country where you don't speak the language for a night.

I'm glad you enjoyed it overall though.

If you like secluded you should've seen Bodrum back in the 80's there were beaches that were miles away from the nearest civilized habitat. You could go camp in a small bay and you if you want you wouldn't be found for a week. Now we call Bodrum the summer house of the Istanbulites, the population rises 10fold in the summer.

If you're single it's the place to go but if you're married and looking for a quiet spot there are better options along the coast.

Bodrum was supposed to be just a stopover for my trip northward to Kusadasi.

I was so exhausted by the time I got there (Bodrum), I stayed for a few days, and it definitely seems like a party hub. Was there in mid september, and I think i missed the BIG summer crowds, but the weather was nice, and I was happy to see the people were so friendly.

Ephesus was one of the greatest things I have seen in my life. I researched in books before I went there, and I think it made it that much better knowing what I was looking at. Never forget the experience.

Did some island hopping for a week before heading back to Italy.

Never expected the beaches, and water to be so nice. Warm, clear, clean, in Turkey. One day when I am free from the imprisonmanet of fatherhood, I plan to go back. Hope im fit enough to make it.
