    Derek Jeter SS
    Nick Swisher RF
    Mark Teixeira 1B
    Alex Rodriguez 3B
    Robinson Cano 2B
    Marcus Thames DH
    Francisco Cervelli C
    Curtis Granderson CF
    Kevin Russo LF

Like me, if you are wondering why Thames, and especially Cervelli are hitting in front of Granderson. Here is why:

Thames vs. Brian Matusz: 5-9 (2 doubles)
Cervelli vs. Brian Matusiz: 4-6 (1 triple)
    Granderson vs. Brian Matusiz: 0-3

granderson hit the ball over the weekend well from the 2 spot. no need to drop him because of the above numbers

Girardi concentrates on matchups far too often...

Gotta wonder if Javy will have his 'good stuff' or will this be an embarrassing loss the the 'O's?

Cervelli is a nice backup catcher and there's nothing wrong with that, but he's not a starter and he's not nearly as good as his early hot streak suggested

It usually coincides with a great effort by a starting pitcher; To wit; 1 run, 7 innings.

I'll take the two runs on an error, but that was another ground out by Rodriguez, really.

Nice game for Vazquez, he has pitched 3 quality games out of the last 4. His numbers are actually becoming better than John Lackey's this year.

Hopefully Javy can keep it going so that they don't have to worry with the rotation.

    Wigginton refusing to be tagged out on the grounder to first;

Dooshy, or the machinations of a competitive guy upset he didnt deliver in a pressure spot?

    I say DOO-SHAY!
