the madden ratings get updated through out the season, if Mike Devito plays awesome it will go up

as for Cromartie, i think an 83 is being generous. He's got hip issues and his playoff effort was absolute kack. I have more faith in Kyle Wilson

Madden ratings are like Pro Bowls, based on reputation.

It's still a video game right? I never understood the relevance or why this is important. Who is the group responsible for these ratings, what are their credentials and why are fans considering this the "de facto" source in player rankings?

Some people like playing the game, and would like the rankings to reflect reality somewhat? Im not saying it has to be perfect, but it's a pretty glaring **** up when Devito is in the 60's after last year.

The problem is he isn't flashy so most people don't pay attention (except the NFL coaches and scouts). He's a stud.

Pouha is rated way too low.... He was rated as the top run defending DT in the league by PFF last year, though I don't take the ratings that seriously, still think he should be better than 72. He should be like 82.... Devito should be like 75-77 rated.

Absolutely the most retarded thing to get worked up over is Madden ratings.

People have a hard enough time rating real players in real world situations, getting worked up over virtual players in a virtual league is ridiculous.

No way in hell Harris is a 99. I'd say Patrick Willis is way closer to a 99 than Harris is.
