    Trade Deadline Yankees

I think that the Yankees really need to pick up a bat or 2 by the deadline.Too many times the lineup goes cold.A-rod and Tex look like they may be heating up but Jeter is having a down year and Granderson let's be honest has sucked most of the year.Posada you just can't count on his health anymore

Who are some realistic guys we could get?For sure they need to beef up the bench

Looks like we're going to war with what we have.

Its a given that we'll make some trades to upgrade the bench, probably no big name trades, but that is ok since history shows that the team making a big trade at the deadline doesn't win the WS.

Whether we like it or not this core is going to either take us to another World Series championship or not. And it's a pretty damn good core to have considering it won the whole thing last year. As for the whole trade deadline comment you made maybe you're right most of the time but Aaron Boone did do us a big solid in '03 in game 7 against the Sux.

I doubt the Yankees will get to the Trade deadline and not make a move. Looks like they're eyeing OF Scott Podsednik of the Royals or OF Ty Wiggington of the Orioles.

    Bench. Reliever probably.

The rotation, lineup, and top of the bullpen are set.

Marlins are open to moving anyone not named Josh Johnson and Hanley Ramirez.

Cody Ross would be a good fit with the Yankees.

    Yeah he would.

I see the Marlins a lot and he is a solid player.Should not cost a lot with a trade.

I supported the trade at the time, but I think it's time to get another outfielder and put Granderson on the bench

Reliever is the only position I can see us upgrading. And we need it there.

The lineup and position players can remain the same. If Jesus continues to rebound in terms of his hitting, I'd be very interested in seeing if he becomes our DH towards the end of the season. Guy has unbelievable hitting ability.

I heard the Phillies could trade Jayson Werth at the deadline.

With Jorge getting old and injured, don't be shocked if the Yankees trade for catching help.

Would love to get Joakim Soria, but giving his contract, it would take a small fortune to get him.

    Would I? Absolutely....

    Would KC? Absolutely not....

Soria is 26 years old with a career 2.13 ERA, and 0.99 WHIP... and team friendly contract.

    2011:$4M
    2012:$6M club option
    2013:$8M club option
    2014:$8.75M club option

And its sad to say but a great closer for KC is almost a waste, they just don't have enough leads to protect

Maybe if they think they can turn Joba back into a starter and make him a #2 behind Greinke they might bite?
It's manageable enough, especially right now, so if you want hm, you're going to have to wow them. Joba isn't wowing anyone right now.

Two players Yankees would love to have: Dunn, Soria. Nationals' price on Dunn exorbitant. #Royals would need to be overwhelmed.
We would have to gut our farm system to get those two.

I wonder what it would cost to get Marlon Byrd of the Cubs to the Yankees?

Cubs gave him a 3 year deal. This is only the 1st year. He's owed $5.5 million in 2011 and $6.5 million in 2012. That pretty much makes him untradeable. Unless you have plans for him beyond this year. We obviously wouldn't.
