jets winning 14 is pretty heady. 1 is certainly doable so maybe 12 is the mark.

as for the patsies and doltfins, they can range from 7-9 to 10-6. i'd give them both 9-7.

the bills? what's to like. they still need a qb. they have some really nice players on the line and guys like lynch and podruszny. that team is just a mess.
I already did my own division winners, wild cards and post season predictions thread, so I'll stick to the post season awards in this one.

    Realllllly

I'd be absolutely shocked. But it's possible if Dez breaks out and Miles remains consistant.

The Jets aren't going 14-2...I'll take 12-4 and run...that's stretching it I think.

Yeah Minnesota lost to Atlanta and we lost to Denver.....Vikings/Jets was suppose to be the SB last season too!

I am picking Jets/Vikes as this years SB, Jets 24 Vikings 13. Would be sweet to not only with the Super Bowl but win it while beating Favre in the process!

I could picture the Vikings going 11-5 on the year and making the 2nd round of the playoffs, but nothing further than that. I have them going 11-5 because they have a strong O-Line, Great Rushing Attack, Really tough Defense and Offensive Weapons such as Percy Harvin out of the slot.

But I cant see Favre having another career year; Not at the age 41. His QB Rating of 107.2 was his highest QB rating EVER. 33 TD's with only 7 INT's? From Favre? No way. I expect Favre to throw 15+ INT's this season, just like he usually does.

Also... I have no idea why people have the Steelers doing so well. They lost their best overall WR in Santonio Holmes who put up 79 catches, 1,248 yards and 5 TD's last year. I'm sorry, but Hines Ward is no longer a #1 WR type of talent and Randle El is below average at best.

How many games will Ben Roethlisberger miss this year? At least 4 games right? He only missed 1 game last year; The Steelers lost that game against the Ravens.

The Steelers also lost Willie Colon for the season due to injury. He's their best overall O-Lineman and I'm sorry, but thats like the Jets losing D'Brickishaw Ferguson for the season.

I have the Steelers going 7-9, I cant picture them doing anything better than 8-8. Not with the Ravens and Bengals out there in the AFC North.

Yeah the Vikings wont be as good as last season in terms of record and Favre definatly wont have the type of season he did last year, but I still think they will be good enough to be in competition for the NFC Title.

The only REAL contenders to win the NFC next year IMO are the Saints, Vikings, Packers and Cowboys. With that group, I like Minnesota's chances playing with a vet QB, solid run game and solid defense but it will be close, its definatly not set in stone, its the NFL, nothing is set in stone.

As for the Steelers, they are the third best team in their division behind Baltimore and Cinncinatti. The loss of Holmes will hurt their passing game, I like Mike Wallace alot and Ward is a solid number two but still without Holmes they wont be the same. Throw in Roethlisberger being suspended for a minimum of four games (and a maximum of six) that will keep them from making the playoffs in a tough Division and Confrence.

Teams that I see improving this year are the Lions, Raiders, Redskins, Seahawks and 49ers, wouldnt be surprised to see Cleveland take a step forward this year either as I like what I saw out of their Defense at the end of last year, a serviceable QB will make them very competitive, question is do they have one going into 2010 or not?
