    Beltran is back

    1 for 4 with a CS.

He is wearing a giant knee brace while playing CF.

Caught some of the game last night, good thing to see.

Question: Did they ask Manuel if he put the sign on, or Beltran decided to steal as soon as he got his first base hit of the year.

It could take some time for Beltran to get in the swing of things, but if he can stay healthy, this is great news for the Mets; who are in the hunt for both the NL East as well as the Wild Card.

As a Rays fan, I'll be pulling for the Mets and thats only because Jet fans deserve to see a winning team. Most Jet fans ARE Met fans.

What was Jerry thinking while making out the lineup card last night? Tejada is an 8th hitter, not leadoff. Bay 2nd? He and Frenchy should take turns on the bench, and Pagan should play every day with Beltran back.

Frenchy should sit he is terrible.

I agree Bay and Tejada have both been in slumps. I do not understand the logic of giving those two the most plate appearances.

You might as well lead off DW. Frenchy has a good arm, but his bat is liability. Bay is just awful all around. Shame his salary holds as much weight in Jerry's lineup card.

Beltran. He's obviously slow in the field. This looks like another med staff miscalculation.
