mcneil was one of the few jet backs who could score on any play and from anyplace on the field. he was a great pass catcher too.

My all time favorite jet! I've been a Jets Fan ever since he was drafted in 1981.

Great football player and even a nicer person. Ironically one of the things he works on now is regarding insurance for retired football players. He lives in Huntington now.

I was at that draft. For once none of the fans complained lol Although I felt Marion Barber in Rd. 2 wasnt worth it (a "solid blocker" warrants a #2? Nope)

My favorite Jets running back of all time. Not blessed with tremendous logevity but clearly the best Jets runner I have seen since I have been in the US and following footbal (1982).

No, not Curtis. Not even close.

Freeman and Hector were a great combo.. Snell and Boozer were excellent also.. Boozer had years of double digit td's on around 119 carries a season.

Loved it when he scored a TD. No dancing or celebrating, just hand the ball to the ref like it was just another day. One of the most humble players on the field. He let his running do all his talking.

One of my favorite Jets ever.

I remember vividly when he dislocated his elbow. The replay was as gruesome as Theisman's leg break.
