Mets vs. Diamondbacks @ Chase Field

Tonight starts a 3 game set in Arizona that is going to be crucial to the Mets post season chances. They have 20 games remaining against the 3 worst teams in the NL (Pirates, DBacks, Astros). They need to put up a big record in these games.

Ian Kennedy vs Mike Pelfrey tonight.

No Yankee game tonight, looking forward to watching this game tonight, haven't seen Kennedy, other than highlights, since we traded him.

The Mets normally dominate out in Arizona so I am hoping for big things in this series.

This will the first game all year that features both Reyes and Beltran. A nice looking lineup.

Reyes, Beltran and Castillo in the lineup together? Something tells me it won't happen. I'll believe it when I see it.

I think it is time for the Mgmt to go to the chopping block especially Minana.
Totally out of his league. Dice K great in Anaheim Diced Meat in NY! Blows a save to get a win. Must be the Umps!

Since when do Ron Darling and Gary Cohen take calls from fans in the booth? This is kind of weird but oddly a nice break from this train wreck of a game. Do they do this all the time, or just employ the call-in show when the game is so far gone it's not worth talking about anymore?

    The Phillies lost, too.

The Mets are 49-44 with 69 games to go. There is plenty of time left and we are 5 games over 500

Why do Mets fans always want to rush our elimination?
Stop being whining defeatists. If the Mets make you all so miserable stop following them.

    YOU GOTTA EFFING BELIEVE!!

After the last 3 seasons I'd rather get on with football. That said, I'll never stop following. Believe? I believe we caught a break to not get swept, and then got spanked by an awful team. I believe, after Mgmt ignored our pitching needs, our 3rd starter is about to go in the tank. I believe, even as our ancient lineup is finally together, they will need time to hit their stride. I believe we have the next Ike Davis on the roster, and will send Thole back down, only to leave another hole in our lineup. I believe by august I'll be done whining.
