I give the Indians the 2-1-1 edge in pitching this series. CC is the only advantage the Yankees have during the next 4 games.

Javy and Westbrook are a wash.

Carmona is a much better pitcher when compared to Burnett and it's not even close with the last game; Talbot is a real talent.

As a Rays fan, I'm looking for a 2-2 split. Tonight is a big game for the Yankees with Javy on the mound. Lose this game, and put yourself behind the 8 ball during a 4 game series.

Indians, being the far superior team, will sweep the series.

Your correct, they should, it's obvious the Yankees are the much better team.

It all starts tonight though. If the Yankees don't win, it will be extremely tough to win 3 of 4 with both Burnett and Miltre going during games two and three.

Girardi says Dustin Moseley will start Thursday vs. Indians.

I guess they are rewarding him for pitching well after Mitre bombed.

    He's pitched 10 innings this season, has allowed 2 HR's, 5 runs, 4 walks/5 K's; era of 4.22

    He's pitched 178.2 career innings, 216 hits, 21 HR's. 8-7 record, 5.34 career era.

I guess you can say it's a small upgrade over Mitre.

Again, Burnett was terrible in June and that was when our pitching coach was absent. Look at his numbers outside of June..

    April-2.43 ERA
    May-4.03 ERA
    June-11.35 ERA
    July-2.61 ERA

Why not call up Nova and give him a start?

Is it an issue with the 40 man roster?

I'm just absolutely sick of this. Umpires are ruining the game more than replay would EVER.

What type of blown call though? Balls and K's?

Not even 3 mins after you started to complain, Jim Leyland was ejected from the Rays game on a BAD call that went against the Tigers.

They called an A-Rod single a catch when it clearly short-hopped into the LFers glove. Texeira was on 1st base., and seeing it short-hop he ran to 2nd. He was "doubled up" because the umpires called it a catch.

Terrible call. It was so obvious that it was a trap.

And of course Granderson was safe at 2nd. That's 2 blown calls that halted two rallies.

I just don't get it.The technology is there to review plays and they don't use it.

Unbelievable. How is it that Tex saw the short hop from 1B but the 2B umpire didn't see it?
