Dolphins beat writer claims Penningotn is the best qb on the roster.

Was listening to 790 the ticket this morning and Dolphins beat writer, Omar Kelly, stated that after watching the 1st few days of training camp, Chad Pennington, right now, is the best qb on the roster.

He then claimed that Chad is making 3rd string receivers look like pro bowlers.

    HUH?

The one armed old man is better then henne?

I mean this isn't the opinion of some schmo. This is the opinion of a guy who's job is to cover the Dolphins.

thought you guys might find this interesting/funny/pathetic etc.

I have no doubt that is true, Penny would be the best QB on the Jets roster also. Sanchez and Henne have more upside.

15 yard passes in training camp? I'd take Chad Pennington any day.

Trying to score 7 points starting on our own 20 yard line with 2 minutes left? I wouldn't want Penny going up against another team in a real NFL game.

But good for Chad, seriously. I'm glad to see he still has the ability to play after all he's been through and a QB controversy in Miami would be a nice sideshow and distraction from Revis Watch 2010.

I have no doubt that with the red shirt on Pennington is one of the great QB's in the NFL.

Five yard dumpoffs FTW. No one throws the 5 yard dumpoff better.

Chad's amp goes to 10 when we need 11.

Pennington's game is well suited for training camp, no contact, just making a lot of short, precision throws. Not suprised.

It's when he gets flattened a couple times that he starts showing the lemon that he is.

BTW, we really needed a Chad Pennington thread around here as training camp starts today. It's been like hours, maybe days since I've seen one.

I'm surprised they would make a comment like that. What happened to Henne being a Pro-Bowl QB??

All that's left now is the obligatory "arm is better than ever", and a revelation explaining a failure or shortcoming of his from the previous season.

Miami's Media-driven QB "Controversy" is not Jets news, it's barely news at all.

If I could change one thing at JI, it would be the FJPOS (Former Jets Player Obsession Sydrome) that is far too common a malady here.

Miami's QB will matter.....the second he takes the field vs. the Jets. Till then,

Maybe we need a single stickied thread for "All Pennington Talk, All the Time" and every forthcoming Pennington thread can be merged into it.....

It's wonderful knowing we don't have to deal with his bullsh!t on our beloved Jets anymore.

Bless Favre's soul for ridding us of Chad.

It is an even year 2010. Isnt Chad primed for a 10-11 win season and a playoff run in an even year 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008.

The guy has 2 division titles and 4 playoff appearances in even years.

Then, another major injury in the odd year 2011?

    Its like clockwork.

If you are in too superstition:

Check out the pattern chad has followed since he became a starter.

    2002- division title- playoffs
    2003- injury
    2004- playoffs
    2005- injury
    2006- playoffs
    2007- injury
    2008- division title- playoffs
    2009 injury
    2010- ?????????????????

In an even year following major surgery, Chad Pennington has brought his team to the playoffs and 2 division titles.

and now, he looks to be the best qb in camp. Could it be????????? I cant see it happening.

Maybe this means Henne is sucking that bad.
