    Pennington is now having revelations

Dolphins scrap plan to work Pennington into mix slowly
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 4, 2010 2:58 PM ET
The plan was for Chad Pennington to be the team's No. 3 quarterback and possibly start the year on the physically-unable-to-perform list. That plan is long gone.

Pennington has come out of the gates swinging in training camp, taking his turn with the No. 2 offense and reportedly looking sharp. According to coach Tony Sparano, Pennington "had a revelation" a few days ago that confirmed his shoulder is 100%.

The Dolphins coach confirmed at the outset of camp that Pennington would compete with Tyler Thigpen for the team's backup job. If Pennington is healthy, it's hard to imagine Thigpen winning out.

We'd guess that Thigpen could now be available in a possible trade, although Pat White's cloudy future makes things more complicated. Either way, Pennington has progressed quicker than expected from what many thought could have been career-ending shoulder surgery.

We think Chad Henne is going to be a very good NFL starter, but Pennington's healthy presence will put more pressure on him to win this year.

What revelation could her have had? Did a duck come down from the heavens and quack at him?

we should trade Revis to Miami straight up for Chad.

Chad is a warrior, not a whiny and greedy little beeatch.

It's ironic that he takes a user name of a QB that had a great arm but loves a QB that doesn't have one..

i expect a full-blown QB controversy in Miami by Week 2 of the preseason.

the window of opportunity for vets like Ricky Williams, Carey and Dansby is closing fast, they can't afford to develop a project QB like Henne
