^ "Switching to Glide" is classic. Also agree with 2mile's Weezer comment. I will now have this simple, catchy tune in my head for the rest of the day.

Monstrous power chords in the high flying chorus. Written by drummer, Roger Taylor.

A lot of great examples so far (especially from Borgo, who's been owning this thread).

Here are a couple that came to mind for me.

Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale send this chorus soaring. I don't think Blackmore ever wrote a bouncier hook, and his solo still rocks.

I have to thank you guys for starting these music threads up. It got me to peruse some of my old albums stored away in a closet such as Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, Moxy (super underrated group), etc.)

Also it has got me searching around on youtube and finding just a ton of old obscure songs I've always liked. I like the feature on youtube where it lists similar music styles to the one you are actually playing on the right hand side of the screen. I keep digging deeper and deeper finding good old songs.

I use these threads to challenge my dwindling memory. I always make it a game to find a musical passage, band, or artist which is appropriate for the given thread. I like when someone's post will trigger my responses. I could spend all day listening, or writing about, music, especially rock.

Frank Marino is a phenomenal talent. Like Robin Trower, his trippy guitar tone is not everyone's cup of tea, but the man can play and sing.

If you can get past the maddening, pretty-boy posturing by Kip Winger, these are actually two very good rock tunes, complete with big choruses. I bet he would go back in time and shoot his representation at the time for crafting that awful image in the vids.

Surprised I didn't see this here... It's got a great chorus.
