What's wrong with "Blade Runner"? Ridley Scott's vision was at least 10 years ahead of the curve. Remember, it was shot in 1981.

    Are YOU serious?

IMO Blade Runner is the greatest sci-fi film ever made.

Lot's of great movies on your list, so you don't lack for taste, but Blade Runner as #1 is pretty absurd.

And Aliens over Alien is another strange call. Alien was Jaws in space, whereas Aliens was Platoon in space.

Too many to list, pretty much in order:

    1. Field of Dreams

    2. L.A. Confidential

    3. A Few Good Men

    4. No Country For Old Men

    5. The Departed

    6. Braveheart

    7. The Lives of Others

    8. Gone Baby Gone

    9. Terminator I/II

    10. Apocalypto

    11. In Bruges

    12. Lucky Number Slevin

    13. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

    14. Pulp Fiction

    15. Gladiator

    16. The Kingdom

    17. The Passion of the Christ

    18. Man on Wire

    19. Mr. Brooks

    20. 48 Hours

Honorable Mention: Sci-fi--Minority Report, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Underworld, Predator, Matrix, 12 Monkeys, John Carpenter's The Thing

Comedy: The Hangover, Role Models, Tropic Thunder, I Love You, Man, Goldmember, Hot Tub Time Machine, Grosse Pointe Blank, The Princess Bride

Hell, you could do a top 10 for War, Westerns, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Foreign, etc.

    I love movies.

Off the top of my head.....

    1. A Scanner Darkly
    2. Zodiac
    3. Jaws
    4. Brick
    5. Blade Runner
    6. Braveheart
    7. Inception
    8. Repo Men
    9. Striking Distance
    10. Shawshank Redemption
    11. The Thing

But this list is always in flux, really. There are different kinds of faves too, for example, "Striking Distance" is utter crapola, but I love it and watch it when it's on. Doesn't make it good. I love Braveheart, but don't watch it much anymore. I love Sci Fi, especially Phillip K. Dick-esque Sci-Fi (Minority Report, Matriz, Dark City, etc), and my favs are always rotating to some degree. And there are movies I know I love (Office Space & Better off Dead for example, or Snatch) that would never make the list, btu get watched as much as any of these. I love Comedy, but never think of them as "Top 10" even if they get watched alot. More, franchises (Terminator, Matrix, Star Wars, Star Trek, more) all deserve love, but are hard to slot. Fringe flicks I love

Unlike music (for me), movie favs are always changing alot, with a very select few that stay at the top (my top 3, for now).

It's like asking for top 10 favorite songs. Thats tough. Top 10 favorite artists is much easier, but you can't do that for movies like you do for music.

I'd say the ebst question is "What are your favorite styles/genres of movies, and give a few examples". Would probably be much more enlightening.
