O
This is what it boils down to....

    Today, the Jets cut.

Davis, Taylor, Muaga, Warren, Satele, Knicky, Felix, Cook, Fitzhugh, Tevaseu, Steinkuhler, Lee, Lamb, Teofilo, Foley. To get the roster to 59.

EXPECTED to be cut tomorrow: Dan Gay, Bo Smith, Charlie Tanner, Mike Turkovich, leaving the roster at 56 players, only 53 make it.

That leaves 6 players on the roster bubble, Clowney, Foster, Jackson, Reamer, Washington, Woodhead.

With only 3 WR's on the roster Clowney OR Foster HAVE to make it.

Rex LOVES Woodhead so hes in.

No need for another ILB so Reamer is out, probably PS.

IF! Revis is back Brian Jackson is out to the PS.

Leaving Clowney, Foster, Washinton, and Woodhead for 3 spots.

Whos in? Hope i didnt confuse anyone =)
They only need to get down to 54, Holmes' suspension creates an additional spot.

I think they release foster or clowney depending on whether or not they can negotiate down with clowney, and reamer, he goes to PS.

Jackson makes it as insurance for Revis.
I would love to see Jackson stay even if Revis returns.
Mevis is not coming back so Jackson's spot should be safe.

I'd like to see some kind of showing from Marquice Cole this year, it's about time for him to put it all together.

Final cuts are in and Chauncey Washington, Danny Woodhead CB/S Brian Jackson & Clowney all stick.

Donovan Warren & Bo Smith get the axe. Practice Squad bound maybe??
Today, the Jets have trimmed down their roster to 54 players. (includes Santonio Holmes)

    The Jets cut:

OL Charlie Tanner – Tanner impressed the coaches during camp but was not able to make the 53- man roster.

CB Bo Smith – Smith is probably most remembered for his strange song on Hard Knocks during the rookie show. Showed some flashes during camp, but did not produce come game time.

LB Cory Reamer – Rex loved Reamer, so expect to see him on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

OL Michael Turkovich - Turkovich was a star a Notre Dame but the numbers were against him here in NY.
OL Dan Gay – Gay had a nice beginning to camp, but had a rough game vs. the Eagles.

WR Brooks Foster – Foster was added to the roster a few week ago. He had some nice special teams tackles vs the Eagles, but apparently suffered an injury that caused the Jets to waive him.

In the end, this means David Clowney, Chauncey Washington, Danny Woodhead and Brian Jackson are all safe.
Nope. Another PS candidate. He did O.K. in training camp but didn't do much in the pre-season.
