Leinart to be Released

    As per Schefter:
Filed to ESPN: Cardinals have told Matt Leinart they will release him today. Max Hall will be No. 2 QB.
the Midgets traded a draft pick for the career backup Rosenfels yesterday. No room there for Leinart

THe Pattycakes could grab him since he is probably better than Hoyer and since the Jets are going to Sorgi Brady's season in week 2

    Dammit.

How the HELL did we draft Brick when we coulda had Leinart.

That was a move that has haunted us and will continue to haunt us for a decade.

A big fat lineman and we coulda had Leinart.

    Dammit.

One NFL GM today on Leinart: Avg skills, slow-twitch passer and "do not like the way he is wired."

They should try to pick up Clemens(Oregon boy like Derek Anderson) as a backup since they don't have any with NFL experience.

Exactly...his heart hasnt been in it his entire career...he still thinks and acts like he's hanging with the cheerleaders at SC.

I was referring to the state name, not the university. I should have been clearer.

Max Hall has earned the #2 spot out here. Been watching most of the Cardinals preseason games and this guy, who was questionable to make the team, is actually flashing "it" and may be a QBotF for the Cardinals after this Derek Anderson experiment.

But, if I had to compare Max Hall to anyone, it would be...Chad Pennington. :O

Seriously though, a born leader and a winner with some questionable arm strength. Local product from Mesa, AZ....started out at ASU, transferred to BYU and is the nephew of Danny White. Football runs in his family. Undrafted free agent this past year.

Keep an eye on this guy. Probably a 20% chance he becomes a good NFL starter but if he does, "you heard it here first." (Channeling Tim Cowlishaw :D )

Didn't Warner forecast this when he announced his retirement? I'm pretty sure he put the Non-Endorsement on Hollywood Matt on his way out ...
