The defense did a great job tonight this game is on the offense. Nothing wrong with Rex believing in his guys and letting the world know he has extreme confidence in them, players love that kind of coach.

Rex and the defense talk the talk and walk the walk, but the offense can't.

the d is great at putting up gaudy numbers when it doesn't matter, and it's an all around excellent defense, but when push comes to shove they couldnt get off the field tonight and couldnt generate a pass rush against the Ravens at all. Flacco looked more like a top flight NFL qb on some of those third down conversions, all because we cant get ANY pressure on them even when we're bringing the house.

GREAT defenses slam the door on the teams. we couldnt get the Ravens off the field tonight, just like we couldn't stop the Falcons, Dolphins, and Jaguars last year when the games were on the line. our defense is gaudy most of the game, most of the time, but they still havent proven that they can SLAM the door on teams, instead of holding them to 3 points for 3 quarters, and giving up 7 when the game is on the line, like they did last year, and like they did today, to the extent that they could not stop the Ravens at all when they desparately needed to.

Sorry, even though Brian Schottenheimer is the WORST OC in the league....

Rex will be who he is, and it will be the only way we win the Superbowl.

He will prove to be one of the greatest coaches of "our" time.

Not to make excuses but the defense was on the field the majority of the time, they were tired and still did more than enough to win the game.

I dont know what game you watched but the defense played very good today

They have! We have an All World Defense and it's being shat on by Brian Schottenheimer.

of course they played very good and had every right to be exhausted. the problem is, with how pathetic our offense is, its almost on the defense to throw up shut outs in order for us to have a chance to win. it was a huge problem last year, the d could put up unbelievable numbers for 58 minutes, but when the games came down to it, they let Atlanta, Miami, and Jacksonville walk all over them. was it to that extent today? no, but maybe instead of blitzing 7 guys and getting nowhere near Flacco and allowing the Ravens to pick up god knows how many 3rd downs, maybe if our all world defense could've made a few of those plays, maybe the offense would've been able to actually score 2 points and win the game. i dont know. in the end it's SOJ like always. next week should be fun....
