Does he suck? I get that he's a rookie, but he has no ball awareness or field presence.

Maybe if that greedy **** Revis didn't hold out and hurt his hammy then Wilson wouldn't have so much responsibility this game.

He's played like this the whole year. He's simply not ready. I love how many Jet fans claimed this kid had similar skills to Revis his rookie year. This kid couldn't hold a torch to Revis' rookie year, or his pre season for that matter. He's not ready..

Lowery needs to take the nickle once Revis comes back

When you play nobodies in college anyone can look like a good first round pick.

Its pretty common with rookies, but Wilson has actually gotten clearly beat on a few plays and that penalty was real bad on him.

He is always chasing anyone he covers.

    Right now he sucks.

Let's see if he can catch up to the speed of the NFL.

It's a little faster than college.

Oh nice play calling after the great return from smith.

Wildcat on first down and no control of what's going on the field.
Thanks Shotty. I still think he sucks as a coach.

The sad part is Wilson has his guy covered like a blanket all the time, but he never turns around. If he did, he would have an INT on every ball thrown his way.

i sure do. awareness is diffucult when the offense id two steps ahead of the cb, who is trying to cacth up to a WR that beat him, read the wrs's eyes and hands, etc. the rookie cb isnt always on the level, but rather a few steps behind in his progression, so the cue for "turning" just isnt seen.

it happens wth all of them, including revis. the game at this level is just too fast.

No it was true. Its why he seemed to have so many interception opportunities but never seemed to capitalize on them. The difference was that his coverage was still there and he wasnt getting thrown on every play or running over guys. Right now Kyle Wilson is playing more like Justin Miller who had great athletic skills but it never translated into anything and he used to run guys over when the ball was in the air his corner skills were so awful.

Most of this board thought Wilson would easily replace Revis in this defense!!

Personally, I felt like he did turn around enough and the call was bogus.

Sadly, I have to agree with this.

exactly. which was a prob for JM that was never solved. usually, the CB will eventually watch film and the brain/experience will catch up with the body, and the progression a cb goes thru in his technique will "click" -- he'll eventually be in sync with the wr and qb and be able t9o turn and play the ball.

right now it is clear that wilson is swimming. he'll get better.

BUT -- his straight line/recovery speed doesn't look good.
