I thought McKnight ran well with his carries. He did something we never saw in the preseason: disappear into the pile and carry it with him. In the preseason he would go into a pile and he would end up coming out the back going in reverse.
He definitely looked as if he had more confidence and explosion coming out of the backfield. Rex also claims he played very good on ST's, I'd be interested in getting more feedback from the coaching staff of his performance.

LOL seriously :D I wonder if the progress being made by McKnight is even more substantial that the progress being made by Vernon?
Given that at that stage in the game, everyone knew the Jets were just handing it off and pushing the pile, his carries were pretty good. OK, his stat line looks so so (avg 3 yards) but you could see that pretty much every Bills player was crashing the line and ignoring the pass.
THe amount expected out of McKnight is a bit bizarre. Do you know how many rookie RBs drafted in the middle of the draft (Round 3 - 5) had 100 carries last year?
Do you know how many had 100+ Yards last year?
Glen Coffee (Retired)
Of the 24 RBs drafted in rounds 3-5 since 2007 only 8 have 500+ rushing yards for their career.
I get that McKnight is supposed to be dynamic, but wow. he expectations on him are inexplicably high for a 4th round pick.
