    New Story: Jets cut WR Clowney, Turner; Clears way for Holmes

    FLORHAM PARK, NJ According to a report from the Newark-Star Ledger, the New York Jets have released wide receivers David Clowney and Patrick Turner on Monday. The move is believed to make room for the return of Calvin Pace and Santonio Holmes.

    Holmes was suspended for the first four games of the season after violating the league's substance abuse policy. He will only add to what is a soaring Jets offensive attack. The Super Bowl XLIII MVP had 79 receptions for 1,279 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    OMG, how can they let Clowney go? I thought he was the best pre-season WR of all time? He has the speed we need. Probably a future HOF'r.

    Whatever, good riddance. I hope someone actually picks him up this time, so we can be done with him for good and he can tweet on someone else's watch.

    Clown man was gunner on punts, and whiffed on Parrish in the 1st quarter, opening the door for a huge gain (26 yards). He deserves to be cut for his terrible play.
