Doing what it takes to win

    Not a pretty win.

    But it is a win.

Only two columns: wins and losses. This is a win.

True. We used to lose these games.

    Sanchez was so inconsistent tonight.

Still 10 x better than Favre.

You gotta win the ugly ones too.

I almost shat myself, and threw several incoherent fits in the second half.

    A win is a win.

    Happy for the W.

For almost 3 quarters we completely (and I mean completely) shut them down. Take the W, and focus on fixing the mistakes made in the 4th Q.

One of the more unsatisfying wins I can remember (to me). Revis looks like ****. Sanchez didn't play that well and the red zone offense was terrible. Coaching brain farts as well. Just a really ugly win.

    I'll take it though!

I'll take it any way I can get it. Favre is a tough guy, no matter how much we rag on him. The Vikings are a tough team, and the Jets edged them out. You won't have your best every game, you have to win when you don't have your best, and the Jets did.

NOW LET'S GO GET A GODDAMN SNACK!!!

Ugly win >>>>>> pretty loss. 100% of the time.

Vikes are a strong team, and are playing desperate, a dangerous combo.

As mentioned elsewhere - last year, that's a game we lose.

    4-1!!! :D

Good comment. I think what many posters here who are seeing only the "ugly" seem to be completely dismissing is the Vikings' capacity for "big-strike" plays. Two TD passes by Favre were literally perfect and indefensible (crossing pattern to Harvin and the Moss bomb). Give the Vikes credit for those rather than pouting about the Jets' "failures." Overall, the Jets were the dominant team on a very rainy and difficult night (which always tends to equalize things), and showed that they can take care of business even when the other team gets into a zone and pressures. We were never behind in this game, which does mean something. For those who commented that the Colts and Pats wouldn't have put themselves in this situation, that's complete nonsense. How many games have we seen Manning or Brady come from behind and essentially carry their team to victory. The Jets didn't have to do that. They had to protect a lead.
