    ...and then there's California!

What a mess! The state is burning and they just voted Jerry Brown back to Governor to pour more money on the fire!

    Brown and Boxer? Really?

I spend 50% of my time in California for work and that state is clearly a fiscal mess. Most of their citizens are convinced that money simply grows on trees and the government should provide everything to everyone. I'd guess that a poll in California would show 40% of people not believing in gravity and convinced that earthquakes were a Republican conspiracy.

It's another planet. Amazing what a difference 300 miles can make. I voted at 7AM today and I'm a proud Arizonan tonight.

Sounds so familiar...is there a name for advocates of this sort of lunacy?

NY isn't far behind, electing another Cuomo to finish the job of destroying this state that his father started.
And then compounded it by putting his cronies in at AG and Comptroller to make sure nobody can check up on them.

Embarassed to be a NY'er today. And more convinced than ever that I'll be leaving the state when my kids have grown.

I thought we'd reached a low point when Sen. Skelos was cavorting with Espada and Monseratte..then watching 'lil Cuomo doing his impression of Daddy last night...my head was spinning.

As I said in another thread, Connecticut voters should be ashamed of themselves. We've elected the lying, cheating, career-politician Richard Blumenthal. He lied about serving in Vietnam in front of a crowd of veterans! And everyone seemed to think he made some mistake and just brushed it off. Lovely.

The land of the $200,000 fire fighter/police officer and more pensioners receiving $100,000 a year than the mind could fathom.

California is the next bailout. When we the country have to bail out their civil service system.

    Write it down!

Not sure I'm gonna wait that long.

And anyone voting for Carolyn "Almost Alzheimers" McCarthy is a major doosh!

Absolute best move I ever made was leaving. LOVE NY but not it's politically based economy. Seems 1 of 5 people work for the government in some form or another.

I like Raleigh..... nice town. NC seems to be a bit more liberal than it was years ago, specifically Charlotte with it's urban management.

I've been in AZ for 9 years and only return to NY to visit family, friends and see the Jets.
