    the turnaround

looks like the economy might be turning around...

here are economic facts that back it up:

    • October was best month for car sales since Cash for Clunkers (2009)
    • factory orders up 2.1% in october
    • service companies expanded at fastest rate for 3 months

    and this

ADP Employer Services, the largest private sector payroll processor in the U.S., reported that private companies added 43,000 new jobs in October, more than double what economists had been expecting.
Obviously it's not all roses... but im not seeing breadlines either. statistically the recession has been over since June 2009.

I wouldn't put much stock in the car sales uptick. September is typically when many car manufacturers introduce new models, so sales increases in the subsequent months before the holidays start would be expected.

The economy is growing very slowly and has been for a while. That hasn't translated to a growth in demand for labor and may not for a while. Until it does, until we have certainty on taxes and regulation, growth will continue to be driven by inflating the money supply and reducing the wealth of the middle class who have saved and invested in the US.

I thought maybe after the "GOP wave" you guys might want to start rooting for this country, not against it.

i guess it will take a Palin president for that to happen

you'd figure after getting their asses beat on Tuesday by the citizens of this nation a smidgen of reality would set in for obama and his loyal disciples....guess not....

but hey- as they have shown the past two years- they know what's better for Americans than Americans themselves.....

Wait, I'm confused. This past October was the best month since last October, but without the incentive of getting extra cash back from a gubment program. I said there was an uptick because the new model year cars are generally introduced around this time.

If you are doing the same or better without an incentive as you were with, that either means A) the incentive was little more than smoke and mirrors, or B) things are getting better. All I am saying is wait a few months after the new hotness has been introduced to see if the trend continues.

Its not about "rooting" - rooting don't do ****. Its getting people to admit there are serious problems and solving them, not the "ignore the man behind the curtain" bull****.

So cutting entitlements, lowering taxes and reducing the size and power of Government shouldn't be a problem then, since things are better now. Excellent!

Are you saying that stock/commodities/etc. markets should be closed?
